Patriots @ Bills Betting Tips: Look out for the weather's impact in Buffalo

As part of our expanding sports coverage here at BettingOdds.com we have a weekly NFL Acca and also match previews and betting tips for all the playoff games, leading right up to Superbowl LVI, which you can find on our NFL page. We've asked @petemarsden_ to check out the New England Patriots’ trip to the Buffalo Bills and provide two picks for your attention.
It’s well and truly playoff season, and the wild-card game between the Buffalo Bills and New England Patriots is set to be one of the coldest games in NFL history. At it’s coldest, the game could see temperatures of -15 degrees tomorrow night, and that could play into the outcome of the result.
New England Patriots @ Buffalo Bills Betting Tips
First off, we’re looking at the total points in the game. As previously mentioned, it’s going to be absolutely baltic in New York on Saturday night, with the temperature reaching -15 celsius, with winds of at least 10mph, making it feel colder than it will be.
This should definitely wreak havoc on the game, with QB’s and receiver’s alike struggling to keep the ball to hand. The Bills’ last three games have seen an average of exactly 44 points, but factoring in the weather should see the unders land here.
Another thing to bare in mind coming into this game, is that the Bills and their opponents have averaged a total of 45.6 points per home game this season, 1.6 points greater than this total.
Next up, we’re looking at Bills wide receiver, Gabriel Davis. Davis hasn’t registered a TD in his last two games, but previously was on a run of successive fixtures with touchdowns. Davis' 63 targets have resulted in 35 catches for 549 yards (32.3 ypg) and six touchdowns.
Davis has been the target of 9.6% (63 total) of his team's 655 passing attempts this season, and he’ll be looked to as a figurehead for Buffalo’s offense. With the Bills having one of the best defences in the league this season, they’ll look to press home their offensive talents on home turf, and the odds of just over 4/1 look enticing here.
Good luck to anyone following these bets for the playoffs, and please remember to bet responsibly.
