Next Southampton Manager Odds: Ivan Juric joins Danny Rohl, Kasper Hjulmand and Carlos Corberan in the betting

Southampton continue their hunt for a new manager following Sunday's sacking of Russell Martin. Several key names have emerged as contenders in the last few days, and we’ve taken a closer look at some of them in our latest analysis of the next Southampton manager odds.
Next Southampton Manager Odds
Danny Rohl
In recent years, Southampton have turned to the Championship for managerial appointments, bringing in Nathan Jones and Russell Martin. Both bosses alarmingly struggled in the Premier League, managing just two wins from 25 matches between them, which included 21 losses.
Given their current predicament, Southampton can’t afford to be overly picky in their search for a new manager. This could open the door for another Championship boss to make the move to St Mary's, with Sheffield Wednesday's Danny Rohl emerging as an early frontrunner in the betting.
Rohl worked wonders last season, steering the Owls clear of relegation and has since had them competing near the play-off spots. Having previously served as an assistant to Ralph Hasenhüttl at Southampton, Rohl could well be on the radar of his former employers.
Kasper Hjulmand
Kasper Hjulmand has become a leading contender in the Southampton managerial race after journalist David Ornstein reported that the Saints may look to the Danish coach as their next appointment.
Hjulmand earned widespread praise for his work with Denmark, guiding them to the semi-finals of Euro 2021, where they were narrowly beaten by England. After four successful years with the national team, he stepped down in the summer and is now seeking his next managerial role.
The 52-year-old’s club management experience includes stints at Nordsjælland, Mainz 05, and Lyngby.
Carlos Corberan
West Brom's Carlos Corberan is another potential Championship candidate at 6/1.
The Spanish coach is currently focused on guiding the Baggies to promotion - they lost to the Saints in the play-offs last season - with his side just two points off the top-6 in 8th place, but a call from the south coast side could well pique his interest.
Corberan, who worked under Marcelo Bielsa at Leeds, previously led fellow Yorkshire side Huddersfield to 3rd in the Championship
Ivan Juric
Ivan Juric is the latest name linked to the Saints managerial role. The Croatian has spent most of his coaching career in Italy, managing clubs like Roma, Torino, Hellas Verona, Genoa, and Crotone, and has also worked under Gian Piero Gasperini.
Juric has gained attention for his impressive work on tight budgets and the development of players. He led Crotone to promotion to Seire A, then went on to overachieve with Hellas Verona and Torino, taking the latter to three top-10 finishes. His one blip came earlier this year when he lasted just 12 games at Roma.

Graham Potter
A pipe dream or a possibility?
Graham Potter, who was 6/1 but has drifted to 10/1, has made it clear he wants to return to management after a lengthy hiatus following his departure from Chelsea in April 2023. He’s also a former Southampton player, which could add a personal connection to the role.
However, taking charge of Southampton right now is a tough sell. The job would require a monumental effort just to get the team back on track, let alone stage a miraculous escape from relegation. Would Potter risk his reputation on such a challenge?
He was previously linked with the Leicester job but reportedly turned them down, while there are whispers that he could be eyeing up West Ham, should they part ways with Julen Lopetegui.
Jesse Marsch
Southampton came close to appointing Jesse Marsh two seasons ago when they sacked Nathan Jones after a disastrous stint in charge. Marsch had just been dismissed by Leeds, but there was talk of a swift return to management when an agreement in principle was reportedly reached. However, negotiations ultimately broke down, and the move never materialised.
Fast forward to December 2024, and the Saints are once again in a perilous position and in desperate need of a quick appointment. While a move for Marsch seems unlikely given that he only took charge of Canada in May, he remains in the mix in the latest odds.
David Moyes
When it comes to experience, David Moyes might be Southampton's best option among the available candidates.
With almost 700 Premier League matches under his belt - ranking only behind Arsène Wenger and Sir Alex Ferguson - Moyes has a wealth of top-flight knowledge, nous, and expertise. His most recent job was at West Ham, with whom he led to European glory before his tenure ended in the summer.
Moyes may see the Southampton job as a risky proposition that could be better avoided. His style of play is also in sharp contrast to Russell Martin's approach at Southampton. That said, given the current state of the club, a complete overhaul of their playbook may be just what the Saints need.
Selected Others
Former Rennes and Strasbourg boss Julien Stephan is available at16/1 ahead of former Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, 22/1, who has been linked with the Wolves job.
Former Liverpool assistant Pep Lijnders has entered the betting at 22/1 after he was sacked by Red Bull Salzburg, while Santa Clara manager Vasco Matos and veteran Rafa Benitez feature at 25/1.
