Man City's first ever Club World Cup match ended in victory after they dispatched of Asian champions Urawa Red Diamonds 3-0 in the semi-finals of the competition thanks to an own goal and strikes from Mateo Kovacic and Bernardo Silva.
Man City will face Copa Libertadores champions Fluminense who will also be bidding to win the trophy for the first time. The Brazilian outfit beat Al Ahly 2-0 in the other semi-final courtesy of goals from Jhon Arias and John Kennedy.
The last 10 winners of the Club World Cup have all come from Europe, including Liverpool and Chelsea in recent years, while Man City's manager, Pep Guardiola, has lifted the trophy three times with Barcelona (2009 and 2011) and Bayern Munich (2013).
It's City who head into the final as the overwhelming 1/8 favourites to lift the trophy and 3/10 to win in 90 minutes, while Fluminense are 5/1 to get their hands on the trophy and 10/1 to triumph in normal time.
A draw in 90 minutes is available at 19/4, which would see the game progress into extra-time. Should the sides still be level then penalties will determine the winner.
Manchester City vs Fluminense Tips
Man City have been far from convincing of late in the Premier League. Shockingly, the defending champions have won only one of their last six matches in England's top-flight and uncharacteristically threw away a two goal lead in Saturday's 2-2 draw at home to Crystal Palace.
They did, however, respond to this sticky patch with a comprehensive 3-0 win over Urawa Red Diamonds, during which they had 74% of the ball and fired in 25 shots, while their opponents didn't even have a single shot on goal.
Erling Haaland may be absent in Saudi Arabia, but Man City should feel confident about bringing home yet another trophy to cap off a stunning 2023. They are extremely short at 3/10 to beat Fluminense in 90 minutes, making the 9/4 for a win and both teams to score stand out with Sky Bet.
After all, City have kept just one clean sheet in their last nine matches and should be given a far tougher test against Fluminense who won the Copa Libertadores and have only failed to score once in their last seven matches.
Last year's final was won 5-3 by Real Madrid and it wouldn't surprise me if something similar happened this time around, with the City win and both teams to score a nice price at 9/4.
If you're after something a big bigger, then you've come to the right place.
We've created a 20/1 Bet Builder for the match (in 90 minutes) which requires Jack Grealish to score, both Man City and Fluminense to find the back of the net, and Marcelo to have one shot on target.
Grealish, 2/1 to net anytime, has rediscovered his goalscoring touch of late, having scored in each of his last three Premier League games against Tottenham, Luton, and Crystal Palace.
The even-money on both teams to score looks good value given that Man City have both scored and conceded in seven of their last nine games in all competitions. Clean sheets have become increasingly rare for the Premier League holders who have leaked in at least two goals in over half of those nine games.
Finally, I like the 7/2 offering on veteran Marcelo to have at least one shot on target. As we well know from his days at Real Madrid, the full-back loves an effort on goal, and we wouldn't be surprised to see him have a crack at City's goal on Friday as he goes in search of a fifth Club World Cup title.
Throw these three bets together to form a 20/1 Bet Builder with Sky Bet.
