Djokovic vs. Kyrgios Odds: Three tips and a 25/1 bet builder for the Men’s Wimbledon Final

After a fascinating fortnight of thrills and spills a field of 128 players have been whittled down to just two men: Novak Djokovic and Nick Kyrgios. The duo will contest the 2022 Men’s Wimbledon Final from 2pm on Sunday, in what promises to be a mouth-watering match-up.
When it comes to Grand Slam success in the singles, there’s simply no contest. Djokovic’s CV boasts 20 Slams, six of which have been won at Wimbledon, whereas Kyrgios will be featuring in his first Final after he was given a bye following the unfortunate injury withdrawal of Rafa Nadal. However, the Australian fully deserves his place in Sunday’s showcase spectacular following a memorable run during which he has played exceptional tennis.
This will surprisingly be only the third meeting between the players, and perhaps even more surprisingly it’s Kyrgios who holds a 100% winning record over Djokovic; winning both clashes in straight sets back in 2017 (hard courts).
Yet its Djokovic, the odds-on favourite for glory at the start of the tournament, who is the short-priced 1/4 frontrunner to secure his seventh Gentleman's Singles Trophy at SW19, and fourth on the spin. Kyrgios is the 3/1 underdog to bring his opponent’s 27-game Wimbledon winning streak to an end, and in turn win his first Slam.
Below we've picked out a few singles bets for the match, plus a bet builder...
Men’s Wimbledon Final Tips
Djokovic is very short at 1/4 in the outright market, but looks a solid bet at 6/4 (bet365) to win the match and both players win a set, which has landed in his last three matches and in four of his six clashes at this year's Wimbledon.
But it's the 11/4 (William Hill) for the Serb to go on and win 3-1 in sets that I really like, which has been the case in three of his games so far, including the semi-final win over Norrie.
Djokovic was surprisingly vulnerable during various points of his last two matches. On both occasions he started slowly; losing the first two sets to Jannik Sinner in the quarter-finals, before storming back for the win; he was then outplayed by home hero Cam Norrie 6-2 in their semi-final opener, only to once again bounce back to secure the win. He ended extremely strongly both times with the outcome never in doubt past the third set.
I think the Final could take a similar pattern with the fully-rested Kyrgios storming out of the blocks to claim the first set (2/1, bet365), but then Djokovic once again gets in the groove, showcasing his experience and mental fortitude to come home in four sets - with this specific outcome an even bigger price at 5/1 with bet365.
If you're on the hunt for something even juicer I highly recommended bet365's Bet Builder which allows you to bring a host of different outcomes together.
One I particularly like the look of is this 25/1 shot, which requires: Djokovic to win 3-1, Djokovic to win from behind, Kyrgios with over 1.5 breaks of serve, and over 0.5 tie breaks in the match.
