Darts Betting Tips: Day 3 tips including 6/1 treble

As day three of the 2022 World Darts Championship gets underway at Alexandra Palace, @tomsportsjourno is on-hand to provide the lowdown ahead of the action.
On day three, we’re being treated to another double session of action with some really interesting ties to feast our eyes on.
Ahead of Friday’s double session at Ally Pally, we have a high value trio of potential winners on day three, alternatively available as a 6/1 treble.
Darts World Championship Tips: Day 3
In the opening tie on day three, north east star, Ryan Joyce takes to the stage as he faces off with Roman Benecky, a young star from the Czech Republic, making his debut at the world championship at the tender age of 21.
As an unknown quantity, we’re not quite sure what to expect from the young Czech, but he’s competed at the PDC World Cup of Darts previously and had to produce the goods to qualify for Ally Pally, so on his day he can certainly play to a high level.
As for Joyce, it’s been another strong year on-tour and with all the experience he’s earned in televised majors over the past year or two, and up to number 38 in the world rankings, he’s certainly established himself as a PDC professional.
Twelve months ago, Joyce reached round two prior to losing out to Poland’s Krzysztof Ratajski, with his best run coming on his debut, reaching the quarter-finals on-debut.
I expect Joyce’s experience and relentless scoring power to see him through this one, in a convincing 3-0 victory, which is available at 8/11.
Following Friday’s opener, Ireland’s Keane Barry takes on Royden Lam, from Hong Kong. Lam is an ever present feature on the PDC Asian Tour and has appeared at Alexandra Palace on several occasions, he can most certainly play to a high level.
As for Barry, who is just 19-years old, he's making his third appearance at Ally Pally as he remains in search of his first win on the World Championship stage after losing out to Vincent van der Voort and Jeff Smith on previous occasions.
On his debut year on-tour, Barry’s consistent performances throughout 2021 earned him the right to qualify for the World Championship with some fantastic runs on the Players Championship series, with his best run coming at Super Series 6, in which he reached the quarter-finals, losing out to Martin Lukeman.
As Barry remains in search of his first win on the World Championship stage, I expect a closely contested battle with at least four sets played to decide who advances to round two. Over 3.5 sets is available at 4/7.
In a battle of the young guns, Scotland’s William Borland, who makes his debut at the World Championship takes on former World Youth Champion, Bradley Brooks of Blackburn, Lancashire. I for one have been mightily impressed with Brooks’ professionalism, composure and energy on stage, having competed at the World Championship previously along with the Grand Slam and Players Championship finals.
But standing in Brooks’ way is a fierce competitor in Borland, who himself has had quite a year on-tour and just to qualify for this event in your debut year is an achievement in itself.
I’m expecting some big celebrations, top level tungsten and an emotionally charged encounter here, with a result almost too close to call. Both players can produce ton-plus averages and if both players can produce their top-level stuff, we could be in for an absolute tungsten treat! Over 4.5 sets is available at an inviting 13/8.
