A return of four wins in a row has seen a revitalised Chelsea surge past Newcastle and Man Utd into 6th spot, meaning they need a point to ensure European football next season in the form of the Europa Conference League. However, they also still have a sniff of snatching 5th - and a Europa League spot - off Spurs, should they beat Bournemouth and Ange Postecoglou's side suffer a shock defeat away to relegated Sheffield United.
While Bournemouth have been hampered by back-to-back defeats to Arsenal and Brentford, they still have the opportunity to finish in the top-10 for the first since since 2016/17 (9th). The Cherries have a very impressive record at the Bridge, where they've won on three of their last six visits, and another win here on Sunday will see them achieve a top-half standing should Brighton fail to beat Man Utd.
Bookmakers favour Chelsea for the three points at 4/9, Bournemouth can be backed at 11/2 to return to the south coast with a win, while a draw can be backed at 4/1.
Chelsea vs Bournemouth Tips
Cole Palmer's hopes of winning the Golden Boot, in what has been a stunning debut season at Chelsea, may now effectively be over - Erling Haaland is five goals clear on 27 - however, he can secure second in the standings on the final day of the season.
Palmer has 22 goals on the board, two ahead of Alexander Isak and three better off than Ollie Watkins and Bournemouth's Dominic Solanke.
The 22-year-old, who has scored 13 times in his last 12 games in all competitions, is odds-on to extend his tally on Sunday, although it's the added value of 4/1 to open the scoring that I think greatly appeals in this game, considering that he has done exactly that in two of his last three games and in four of the last five games he's scored in.
Virtually everything Palmer touches turns to goals at the moment and I feel that BoyleSports' best price of 4/1 is too good to turn down.
Continuing aboard the Palmer steam train, I'm backing the in-form goalscorer to score two or more goals on Sunday as part of a 22/1 Bet Builder with bet365.
Since Christmas, Palmer has scored 2+ goals five times, including an eye-popping four-goal haul against Everton last month, which came a couple of weeks after he hit a hat-trick against Man Utd.
This brings me nicely to the next ingredient of the bet, which requires Chelsea to find the back of the net three times or more. The Blues have been electric at the Bridge, going unbeaten in eight games, seven of which they've won. During this period they've accumulated 29 goals, and scored 3+ goals six times.
The hosts have every chance of reaching this line again on Sunday against a Bournemouth side that have lost three of their last four away games and conceded 3+ goals in four of their last nine outings on the road.
However, I believe that the top-10-chasing visitors can make a game of it by getting on scoresheet themselves and, if they do, the player to find the back of the net is likely to be top-goalscorer Dominic Solanke.
Solanke will be fully motivated as he needs just one goal to hit the 20 goal mark for the Premier League season as he bids to chase down Isak (20 goals) to finish on the podium places. Sunday's game also gives Solanke, who has five goals in his last 10, one final opportunity to showcase himself to Gareth Southgate ahead of next week's preliminary England squad announcement, which will give him extra fuel this weekend.
