Heading into Tuesday’s contest the hosts have collected 50 points and sit 15th in the fourth tier standings, while Notts County sit two places and two points behind in 17th. Both teams have under-achieved this term after having promotion hopes for the campaign, however a win for either side here would keep open the slightest of chances of making the play-offs.
Bradford were hammered 5-1 at home to Mansfield on Saturday, but they remain the odds-on favourites to collect all three points on Tuesday, priced at 10/11 to do so. The draw can be sided with at 13/5, while those looking to back Notts County, can do at 3/1 with most betting sites.
Bradford vs Notts County Tips
As mentioned above, both of these sides have not achieved their goals so far this season and have had some rocky patches of form over the last few months. Bradford will be keen to right the wrongs of Saturday’s humiliating defeat on home soil and we think we’ll see a good reaction from them here.
After guiding Notts County to over 100 points and automatic promotion from the National League last season, manager Luke Williams made the step up to the Championship with Swansea on January 5th. Since then, County have only won one of their last nine league matches under the stewardship of new boss Stuart Maynard. Their latest result was a 2-2 stalemate at Accrington Stanley on Sunday and a repeat of a draw could be on the cards here.
Only two points separate these two teams in the League Two table and with neither firing on all cylinders at the moment, backing the draw looks the wise play at around 13/5.
For those looking for something at a bit more of a price, we’re also touting both Andy Cook and Macaulay Lanstaff to score anytime in the match. County have seen Over 2.5 goals land in four of their last five outings, and we feel there is plenty of scope for Andy Cook to add to his tally for this season. The 33-year-old Bradford striker has scored more goals than any member of the Bantams squad this term, notching 15 goals, with four of those coming in his last seven appearances.
Before a ball was kicked this season, Macaulay Langstaff was well fancied to be crowned the League Two top scorer in 2023/24 and he is very much in the hunt after scoring an impressive 23 goals. Langstaff remains one of the most deadly strikers in the division and he can find more joy against a Bradford side who are winless in their last four at home and leaked five goals on Saturday.
