Bayern Munich vs Arsenal Bet Builder Tips
Harry Kane is bang in the mix for the Champions League Golden Boot with seven goals on the board, including what was no doubt a hugely satisfying penalty in the first leg which quietened the Emirates crowd.
With fellow elite forwards Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappé also in contention for the individual gong, Kane will be eager to enhance his tally further against an opponent he excels against.
On home soil in front of a demanding home crowd desperate not to see the club's trophy streak end, I expect Kane to see plenty of the ball in attacking areas. He's priced at 11/10 to score yet again, but I prefer his marginally longer odds of 6/5 to have over 1.5 shots on target to kick-off this 40/1 Bet Builder.
Staying with Bayern Munich, I'm looking for Kane's teammate Leroy Sane to register at least one shot on target, which he's done in five of his eight Champions League starts this term, while over in the Bundesliga he has 28 shots on target; second only to Kane in the Bayern ranks.
A response from Arsenal is inevitable following their disappointing 2-0 defeat at home to Aston Villa, which came just after the 2-2 draw with Bayern Munich. Admittedly, they face a tough task away to Bayern Munich but can draw confidence from their performances in big games this season, having beaten both Man City and Liverpool.
Big players step up to the plate on the biggest stages and I can see Bukayo Saka doing just that on Wednesday. He's scored four times in the Champions League this season, including the opener last week, and has had at least one shot on target in four of his last five appearances in the competition.
Saka will be heavily involved in Arsenal's attacking play as the visitors look to push and probe a vulnerable Bayern Munich defence that's conceded two goals in four of their last five games. With that said, I believe he represents a solid bet at 7/2 to have over 1.5 shots on target on the night.
Finally, I'm tasking Gabriel with having a shot on target at 11/4. The defender's numbers in this area have been very impressive. He's an immense threat from corners and free-kicks, reflected in a shot on target in nine of his last 16 league games - scoring three times in the process - which are fantastic returns for a defender.
