ATP Finals Semi-Finals Tips
Jannik Sinner vs Daniil Medvedev
The first match of the day sees World No.3 Daniil Medvedev take on World No.4 Jannik Sinner.
Sinner topped his group after he managed to win a grueling three set battle against Holger Rune. Many thought he might lose purposefully, with a loss meaning that World Number one Novak Djokovic would have been knocked out in the group stages.
But he persevered and went 3/3, beating Stefanos Tsitsipas, Djokovic and Rune.
Medvedev placed second in his group after his loss to Carlos Alcaraz. Despite the loss, his opening two games saw him dominate Andrey Rublev and Alexander Zverev where he beat both players in straight sets.
Fans will be hoping that Sinner is injury-free, after touching his lower back and seemingly looking in pain.
The money line looks about right and I can see this being a very tight match, I think the over 23.5 games bet is showing some slight value.
Carlos Alcaraz vs Novak Djokovic
On the other side, we have the World No.1 take on the World No.2 for the fifth time this year.
Interestingly, all these previous meetings have been either a semi-final or final. This new rivalry has been exciting, with the current record being 2-2.
The biggest match, and surprise, came at Wimbledon when Alcaraz beat Djokovic in the Wimbledon final in an amazing five set battle.
Their most recent match-up saw Djokovic come from a set down to beat the Spaniard in three sets at Cincinnati in the final.
Djokovic has looked a bit shaky this week, needing three sets to beat Holger Rune and Hubert Hurkacz, and he lost to Jannik Sinner in his second match.
Meanwhile, Alcaraz has looked more comfortable after his disappointing loss to Alexander Zverev.
His match against Daniil Medvedev was a credit to his tennis ability and intelligence, where he served and volleyed a lot more to counter the Russian's style.
I’ll be going for Alcaraz’s money line here, where BetMGM is offering a nice underdog price.
