ATP Finals Day 2 Tips
Carlos Alcaraz vs Alexander Zverev
The afternoon session pits World No. 2 Carlos Alcaraz against Alexander Zverev, which will be their seventh meeting.
Their current head-to-head record stands at a draw, with Alcaraz winning the last two matches which came this year.
The Spaniard embarrassed Zverev in their first match of the year, when he stormed through in straight sets 6-1 6-2.
The second match had higher stakes, but he repeated his dominant display and beat the German in straight sets again at the US Open: 6-3 6-2 6-4.
Alcaraz has struggled since Wimbledon and hasn't won a title since that amazing day when he beat Novak Djokovic in the final in London.
His past two performances have been disappointing, losing to Grigor Dimitrov in Shanghai in three sets and Roman Safiullin in the opening round of the Paris Masters as a huge underdog.
It's likely that the fatigue is getting to the 20-year-old, so he'll hope that the two weeks rest will have helped him compete in the final tournament of the year.
Zverev has had a relatively average year so far, winning two titles but not making much of an impact in the bigger stages.
He's struggled to beat the top players this year, and with that in mind, I really feel that Alcaraz's odds are showing some real value, with -3.5 Games at 27/25 with Unibet.
Daniil Medvedev vs Andrey Rublev
The evening session features two Russians, Daniil Medvedev against Andrey Rublev, which I've provided two bets for.
This match is going to be their tenth time facing each other, with Medvedev dominating the head-to-head with seven wins.
Rublev has looked pretty vulnerable since his final appearance in Shanghai where he lost to Hubert Hurkacz.
He hasn't looked convincing, though has been grinding out the results. I do feel that Medvedev has the upper hand on Rublev both physically and mentally.
I think we could see a close match, and that's where the Over 22.5 Games is tempting at 7/8 with bet365 appeals.
The game spread for Medvedev also looks tempting at -2.5 Games at 9/10 with UniBet.
