This match is scheduled to take place on Sunday night local time, but it will be a 00:15am kick-off during the early hours of Monday morning for UK fans, although the fixture - which will take place at the Estadio Monumental Jose Fierro - is not available to watch on television.
Boca are one the biggest names in South American football and have been crowned champions of Argentina on 35 occasions, although they could only finish seventh in the final standings last season.
Atletico Tucuman came a credible 11th during the 2023 campaign, but their form has been poor so far this year, as they won only one of their 14 games in the Copa de la Liga - the tournament that precedes the league season getting underway in Argentina.
Atletico Tucuman vs Boca Juniors Tips
Although this match may prove to be low scoring, one man that is more than capable of getting on the scoresheet is ex-Uruguay international Edinson Cavani, who counts Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and Napoli among his list of former clubs.
Even at the age of 37, Cavani is still scoring at a regular rate, netting 10 goals across 15 appearances in all competitions this calendar year.
That includes six strikes in 10 games in the Copa de la Liga, while he was also on target in Boca's most recent clash, netting a 90th-minute winner in their 2-1 victory over Sportivo Trinidense in the Copa Sudamericana.
Cavani should be the standout name on the team-sheet against Atletico and he can justify that billing by getting amongst the goals.
While Atletico struggled during the Copa de la Liga, Boca produced solid performances - losing only three of their 14 matches during the regular stages before claiming a memorable 3-2 success over fierce rivals River Plate in the quarter-finals, although they were then beaten in the last four by eventual champions Estudiantes de La Plata.
Boca also have a strong record when facing Atletico, winning each of the last five meetings, most recently last year's 1-0 success at La Bombonera.
That 1-0 scoreline could be replicated this weekend, as Atletico scored just eight goals during the Copa de la Liga - only Tigre netted fewer out of the 28 teams - while Boca conceded at an average of less than a goal-per-game.
Last season, league matches involving Atletico - who are managed by former Fulham striker Facundo Sava - saw just 52 goals scored across their 27 games while, despite finishing seventh, Boca found the back of the net on only 33 occasions.
With goals potentially an issue for both these sides, the under markets look the way to go, and combining under 2.5 goals with a Boca win could pay dividends.
