Wales qualified for their first World Cup since 1958 after beating Ukraine in a play-off in June.
Wales, managed by Robert Page, drew their opening game 1-1 against the USA but then suffered a damaging 2-0 defeat to Iran, which was followed by a 3-0 defeat to rivals England.
As a result Wales finished bottom of Group B with just a single point to their name.
