Saudi Arabia took part in their sixth World Cup in Qatar.
The Green Falcons have only ever advanced beyond the group stages once, which came on their first appearance in 1994.
Herve Renard's side were unable to advance once again, but they did conjure up a stunning 2-1 win over Argentina, who were considered one of the favourites for the tournament.
However, subsequent defeats to Poland and Mexico meant they finished bottom of what was a very competitive Group C.
Saudi Arabia Group C Odds
Saudi Arabia were in a tough-looking Group C where they faced Argentina, Poland, and Mexico.
Saudi Arabia headed to Qatar priced at 7/1 to advance to the knockout stages and in the end fell just short.
They conjured up a sensational upset win over Argentina, a side who hadn't lost in over three years, to fire them into contention but then lost to Poland and Mexico.
