Al Bayt Stadium, Al Khor
Match Stats
These two sides have never met before. Qatar qualified for the finals as hosts whilst the Netherlands finished top of their group in European qualifying.
Qatar have a solid team of home-based players who are pretty experienced playing together and have only one defeat in their last eight games. Hosts have a decent record at World Cups and although Qatar will be the lowest ranked team to ever host the World Cup they could still cause their Group A opponents problems.
The Dutch qualified as winners of Group G in European qualifying and have a talented young squad including the likes of Virgil van Dijk and Memphis Depay. They'll be short priced favourites to pick up three points here in their final Group A match and are also favourites to qualify as Group A winners.
