Match Stats
The time is surely now for Belgium who were recently deposed as FIFA world number one by Brazil. For years there has been a talk of the golden generation but are the only team to have ever topped the rankings without ever winning a World Cup or continental trophy. With what looks like an easy draw through to the next round, then surely they have to look at at least bettering their third place in 2018?
The Red Devils qualified with ease from Group, remaining unbeaten from their eight fixtures, winning six matches and drawing two, in finishing ahead of Wales and The Czech Republic.
Morocco had to face DR Congo in a two legged play-off and had no problems dispatching them 5-2 on aggregate. They had a fairly disappointing AFCON tournament, losing 2-1 to Egypt in the Quarter Finals and will be unlikely to match their best ever performance at a World Cup, back in 1986 when they reached the round of 16 stage.
These two have played each other three times, with the Belgians having the better of it, winning two of the contests. Their most famous clash was a World Cup group clash back in 1994.
