Match Preview Spain vs Germany
Spain have been possibly the most impressive side so far at the tournament and have seen their odds shorten in the outright winner market into 4/1. After getting the better of Croatia, Italy and Albania in the group stage, they then put in another commanding performance against Georgia in a 4-1 victory on Sunday.
With Spain playing such a high defensive line, it did allow Georgia a few opportunities to get in behind and exploit the Spanish defence and this may well be what Germany look to do on Friday through Jamal Musiala and Leroy Sane.
The Germans were a little lucky to come out 2-0 winners against Denmark in the last-16 thanks to some help from VAR, but they have looked one of the better teams at the tournament and will look to use their home advantage against Spain. Germany can never be written off and they are also a similar price to go on and lift the trophy on Sunday July 14th. One thing is for sure, whichever side comes through, will see their odds shorten drastically potentially into around the 5/2-2/1 region.
Best Betting Markets for Spain vs Germany
This looks a tough game to predict in terms of the result, with both teams priced at 13/8 with some bookmakers to secure the win in 90 minutes. I do think we will see goals here and after successfully backing Fabian Ruiz to score against Georgia at 6/1, I’m going back in at a bigger price.
Spain’s Fabian Ruiz has more goal involvements than any other player at the moment. He found the net in the group stage and then did so once again in the last-16. On his most recent outing, he let off a whopping seven shots, and with this in mind, I’m perplexed to see 12/1 on show with Sky Bet for him to score against the Germans.
