You'd have got decent odds on these two lining up in the quarter finals, especially after Denmark lost their first two games and their talismanic midfield creator Christian Eriksen. In fact, it's Eriksen's collapse that has arguably amalgamated the Danes who lost their opener to Finland but went down fighting against a good Belgium side before thrashing Russia to qualify for the knockouts.
The Czech Republic finished third in Group D behind England picking up a win against Scotland and a point against Croatia before losing to Gareth Southgate's side. However, sent off big underdogs in their last 16 clash with the Netherlands they impressed in a 2-0 win to set up this quarter final match in Baku.
Denmark qualified courtesy of a 4-0 drubbing of Wales in Amsterdam on Saturday and will be sent off slight favourites here for a place in the semis.
