Rugby League Challenge Cup Odds
- Rugby League
Although rugby league is undoubtedly a more high profile sport Down Under in Australia and the NRL is the envy of most Northern Hemisphere fans, there is one thing that sets apart the British game from anywhere else in world rugby league. A knock-out cup competition, namely the Challenge Cup. Read More
Established in 1896, the competition has grown into the most prestigious cup competition in all club rugby league and over the years all the iconic teams of that era have lifted the coveted cup at Wembley. Wigan, St Helens, Leeds, Bradford and Warrington have had a firm grip on the Cup in recent years but outsiders like Catalan, Hull FC and of course the 2023 champions Leigh have meant Wembley wins have been spread out nicely in the competition.
The BBC have held the rights to the Challenge Cup for decades, but recently Sky Sports have taken some of the early round games to be broadcast. Once the tournament hits the semi-final stage however the games are exclusive to the BBC and that includes the final, held at the home of British Sport Wembley Stadium.
Who is the favourite for the 2024 Challenge Cup?
With the 2023 Challenge Cup Final now etched into history as one of the most dramatic showpiece games Wembley, old or new, has ever seen, eyes switch to 2024. Leigh Leopards were of course Golden Point winners against a valiant Hull KR in 2023 and the Leythers will be determined to retain the Cup they won for the first time in 52 years. They have an old but not past it squad set for 2024 and with their stars locked in to go round again and Derek Beaumont ready to splash more cash, don't right off a Leighpeat!
Elsewhere the usual suspects will dominate the market, namely St Helens, Wigan, Warrington, Catalans and Leeds. Of course the luck of the draw will be crucial in the Cup as always but it is highly unlikely we will see another final like 2023 with no representative from the big five involved.

Betting on the 2024 Challenge Cup
There are plenty of ways to bet on and enjoy the Challenge Cup both before the season kicks off or as the action unfolds.
The odds to win the Final, just like those to win the Super League, will of course change over time as games progress and teams are knocked out. Underdogs will prosper, lower league sides will give the big boys a fright but there is as always plenty of punting pleasure to be had! Before betting on the Challenge Cup, make sure to follow the advice below...
-
Familiarise yourself with the teams, coaches and players taking part. It is crucial to be clued up before every bet you place, so learning about the potential winners before betting is always the best advice.
-
Consider the odds being offered by different betting sites. You may be able to find better odds on certain teams at one compared to another.
-
Don't forget to consider the risks involved in betting. It's always possible that your chosen team may not perform as well as you had hoped, so be sure to only bet an amount that you are comfortable losing.
It's important to note that betting on the Challenge Cup, or any other form of gambling, carries inherent risks and should be approached with caution. Be sure to gamble responsibly and only bet what you can afford to lose.
