Men's 100m Odds - Gold Medal Winner
Below we run through the candidates to win the men's 100m at the 2025 World Athletics Championships, according to the latest odds.
Oblique Seville: 11/4
Oblique Seville has been installed as the new 11/10 favourite after he raced through to the final in 9.86 seconds.
Seville placed fourth at both the 2022 and 2023 World Athletics Championships and finished eighth at the Olympics in Paris last summer.
Seville recently carded a very impressive 9.87 seconds in shocking conditions to win the Diamond League in Lausanne, Switzerland, ahead of Lyles in a race in which no other sprinter went under 10 seconds.
Kishane Thompson: 6/4
Kishane Thompson is next in the running at 6/4 with Sky Bet.
Thompson missed out on gold by an agonising 0.005 seconds at last summer's dramatic Olympics in a race which saw all eight men finish under 10 seconds.
The Jamaican heads to Japan gunning for revenge over Lyles, whom he recently beat in the Silesia Diamond League, which was their first meeting since the Olympics.
Thompson is the fastest man in the world this year after he clocked a sensational 9.75sec at the Jamaican Championships, a time that rocketed him up to 6th in the all-time list.
Kenny Bednarek: 7/2
Kenny Bednarek leads the charge behind the above duo at 7/2.
A silver medalist in the 200m at the last Olympics and 2022 World Athletics Championships, Bednarek has showcased his ambitions to challenge for the 100m podium this year after he clocked a 9.79 PB at the USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships last month - only Thompson has run faster this year.
Noah Lyles: 4/1
Defending champion Noah Lyles is out for a third consecutive major 100m gold following his triumphs at the 2023 World Athletics Championships and 2024 Olympics.
He's not had the best of seasons because of an ankle injury, with his time of 9.90 ranked joint-12 in the 2025 standings, but as we well know, the outspoken American is a man for the big occasion with a PB of 9.79, which he set in Paris last summer.
Letsile Tebogo: 40/1
Letsile Tebogo is 40/1 to go one better than the 2023 World Athletics Championships and secure gold as he bids to break the American-Jamaican monopoly that has dominated the last 10 men's world 100m titles.
The Botswana sprinter famously won gold in the 200m at the 2024 Olympics and is the 15/8 second favourite to win 200m gold in Tokyo.
However, he's only had one 100m race so far this season - 10.03 in May - although he does hold a PB of 9.86 in the discipline.
