Wolves vs. Arsenal Predictions: A tense affair in this battle for Europe

Live on BT Sport, Wolves host Arsenal in the Premier League at the Molineux Stadium this Thursday at 7.45pm.
Wolves vs Arsenal Tips:
The hosts come into this game having lost an important player Adama Traore to Barcelona as well as losing their FA Cup 4th round game at home against Norwich last weekend. However, they have been picking up impressive results in the league recently having won 4 out of their last 5 PL games including a solid 1-0 away win over Manchester United. Bruno Lage will hope his team carries forward the league form from before the winter break into this game as they come up against an Arsenal side that hasn’t won in their last 5 games in all competitions.
Arteta’s men are currently sitting 6th in the league table with 36pts and are just 4pts behind 4th placed West Ham but have 3 games in hand over them. A positive result for the away side will certainly help their chances of getting closer to that all important Champions League spot that the fans are hoping for. The last time Arsenal visited the Molineux stadium, they went down 2-1 in a game where Wolves came from behind to clinch all 3 points. Arsenal have only won 2 of their last 7 away games and they will have to put in a much improved performance if they are to come away with all 3 points here. This is a tough game to call specially as the teams have just come back from a long international break so I will be avoiding result based bets in my preview.
An intriguing Thursday night Premier League clash awaits us and as usual, I have you covered with 2 of my best betting angles for this game included in the preview below:
Team News:
Person Mosquera, Pedro Neto, Jonny, Willy Body & Hwang Hee-Chan are out for Wolves.
Bernd Leno & Mohamed Elneny are out for Arsenal while Cedric Soares & Tomiyasu are doubtful.
Wolves possible starting lineup:
Sa; Kilman, Coady, Saiss; Semedo, Neves, Dendoncker, Moutinho, Ait-Nouri; Jimenez, Podence
Arsenal possible starting lineup:
Ramsdale; Cedric, White, Gabriel, Tierney; Xhaka, Partey; Saka, Odegaard, Martinelli; Lacazette
Despite going down to Norwich in the cup, Wolves are on a cracking little run in the Premier League with 4 wins in their last 5 games, and will be confident against an Arsenal side who they have beaten in their last two meetings, scoring 2+ goals each time. Arsenal have conceded a total of 10 goals in their last 5 league games on their travels, and out of the 25 goals they have conceded this season, a huge 17 of them have been conceded away from home. Stats heavily support a Wolves goal and that will be our 1st part of the bet-builder.
Next, Wolves have seen their opponents collect at least 1 yellow card in 10 out of 10 home games in the league and the last time Arsenal visited them they were handed 2 red cards. I can see Wolves catching Arsenal on the counter on quite a few occasions in this game which could result in a cynical foul from one of Arteta’s men. Combining these 2 selections gives us a solid bet-builder @ 4/5 and I am happy to have a 1pt stake on that as our main bet for this exciting clash.
Ruben Neves is Wolves’ most booked player with 7 yellow cards to his name and has also been booked in his last 2/2 appearances for the club. I can see him adding another booking to his tally against a tricky Arsenal midfield. Martin Odegaard averages most key passes per game (1.8) in the Arsenal squad and is also 2nd on the list of top assist makers from this Arsenal side having played 4 games less than the leader Saka. Combining these 2 selections gives us a cracking long-shot @ 22/1 that I am happy to place with a very small 0.25pt stake.
Best of luck if you follow these selections. Please always gamble responsibly
