West Ham v Leicester Cheat Sheet: Key Stats & Betting Angles

West Ham and Leicester supply us with our first dose of Monday Night Football this season, in a mouth-watering encounter which saw five goals scored the last time they met.
There’s little to separate these two sides down the betting office, with the hosts available at 8/5 for the win and the visitors priced up at 7/4 for all three points.
If you’re having a dabble on the action, check out our Cheat Sheet for the game below, packed full of useful stats from last season which shows you the top-ranking players from both sides for shots, fouls and cards.

We’ll start with the home side, where the player who dominated the shots statistics, Jesse Lingard, has now returned to Manchester United following his loan spell. Michail Antonio, Tomas Soucek and Jarrod Bowen all chipped in with their fare share but the bookies have cottoned on to each of their prices, so I’m going to look elsewhere to try and sniff out some value.
Defender Craig Dawson posed a huge threat from set-pieces last season, averaging just under a shot each game in the Premier League. The ex-Watford centre-half registered a shot against Newcastle last weekend which missed the target, but due to his aerial ability is always a good option to have on-side at a bigger price. Paddy Power have the 31-year-old up at 11/4 for 1+ shot on target which could represent a tidy bit of value, while he’s 8/15 - available to be ‘Powered Up’ to 4/7 - just for 1+ shot against the Foxes.
For the visitors, Harvey Barnes has looked sharp since his return from a long-term injury and landed a shot on target in the 1-0 win over Wolves last weekend. The Englishman is a huge talent and such a threat coming in off that left hand side. He’s never afraid to let off shots from distance - proven by the 26 SoT he registered in just 22 league starts last term - and with Jamie Vardy’s price for shots so short for obvious reasons, I’m looking towards Barnes as a better alternative. The Leicester wide man is 23/10 for 2+ SoT on Monday evening with Paddy Power, or Evens for just 3+ shots - on or off target.
