Tunisia vs France Bet Builder Tips: French domination expected in 12/1 Bet Builder double

Wednesday sees defending champions France back in action against Tunisia at 3pm. France are all but confirmed to be finishing top of their group barring an absolute hammering from Tunisia which would be one of the biggest upsets of the year. We’ve put together a Bet Builder for the action with Boylesports.

As mentioned previously, there isn’t much in this game for France who are now at 1/1000 to top their group. Technically it’s still possible for them to finish second but that would take an absurd result from Tunisia.
It would make sense for Deschamps to rest some of his key players like Mbappe, but they are expected to start this game. Perhaps the game plan is to get this game wrapped up by half-time but risking a potential Mbappe injury isn’t the wisest. One player I do expect to play regardless of the state of the game is Olivier Giroud who has stepped up his game since the departure of Karim Benzema.
Olivier Giroud scored a brace in his first game of the 2022 World Cup against Australia and then unfortunately made very little impact against Denmark where he was substituted in the 62nd minute. With him not playing the full 90 last game he should be fit enough to start this one and we’re hoping he can restart his goalscoring form.
Olivier Giroud is averaging 1.3 shots on target per 90 this season, more specifically, 1.2 per 90 in the World Cup. Tunisia should arguably be France’s easiest game so far and with everyone comfortably settled in the tournament, I’d be expecting Giroud to shine in this game and expect him to have a good couple of shots on target. We’ll be starting off our Bet Builder with Giroud to have 2+ shots on target.
Next up we’ve taken a look at the bookings market and think we’ve found some decent value with Tunisia’s right back. Mohamed Drager looks to be the man in charge of the right-hand defensive side meaning he will be up against Kylian Mbappe if he is to play.
We all know how it’s often an impossible task for defenders to play against Kylian Mbappe’s electric pace and more often than not. It’s always a good play to back Mbappe’s opponent to be booked and in this case, Drager has already received four cards in 14 games for his club this season where he plays right back.
France are expected to have most of the ball this game and with Mbappe playing on the wing he’s been the one starting most of their attacks so far this World Cup. If Tunisia get caught on the counter which should happen on multiple occasions, it’s most likely going to be Drager the one in charge to stop it and that’s probably going to result in a fairly nasty foul if he is to stop him.
Adding him to be booked brings our Bet Builder to 12/1 with Boylesports which is a very decent price.
