Spurs left it late last weekend to secure three vital points in the chase for the top four against Brighton, with Brennan Johnson coming off the bench to score an injury-time winner after Pape Matar Sarr had cancelled out Pascal Gross' first-half penalty.
Wolves meanwhile endured an unexpected home defeat to an Ivan Toney inspired Brentford last time out, but they can take heart from the fact that they make the trip to the capital this weekend on the back of a five game unbeaten run on the road in all competitions.
Tottenham vs Wolves Tips
Tottenham have struggled with injury issues all season but manager Ange Postecoglou is now able to field close to his strongest starting lineup and results have improved.
Spurs have won six of their last nine league games and are now a point clear of Aston Villa in fourth after the Villans’ recent wobble.
Postecoglou’s side have been particularly impressive at home, winning nine of their 12 Premier League outings in their own backyard.
They host a Wolves side that were dealt a major blow as star man Cunha was ruled out for a substantial period of time with a hamstring issue.
O’Neil’s men have also suffered two defeats in their last three games, narrowly beaten 4-3 by Manchester United before succumbing 2-0 to Brentford last time out.
They can get on the scoresheet this time around, especially when considering the defensive record of their opponents.
Tottenham have conceded in 19 of their 24 league matches this season and both teams have found the net in 15 of their last 18 home games.
Postecoglou’s attacking style clearly leaves them vulnerable at the back and Wolves should have enough going forward to get on the scoresheet.
However, Spurs are back to full strength in attack and are a team to be feared in that respect - they have scored at least twice in their last nine league games.
Tottenham can secure another home win in what should be an entertaining affair.
In terms of the goalscorer options, Brazilian ace Richarlison stands out.
One player who is especially suited to Postecoglou’s style appears to be the former Watford and Everton man.
The 26-year-old is a fox in the box and has now netted ten times in the Premier League this season.
Seven of those goals have come in the last eight games and he has registered at least four shots in four of his last five matches.
Therefore it would not be a surprise to see Richarlison on the scoresheet again here.
