Ange Postecoglou’s side occupy fifth place on 33 points heading into the weekend, six points behind first-placed Arsenal after 17 matches. Spurs won their last top-flight match 2-0 at The City Ground against Nottingham Forest before Steve Cooper was given the chop.
The Toffees earned a 2-0 victory over Burnley at Turf Moor in their last League match, their fourth consecutive win, putting them in 16th place on 16 points. Had it not been for their points deduction, Everton would be in the top half and when the two sides last met in Premier League action, they played out a 1-1 draw at Goodison Park in 2022/2023.
Tottenham vs Everton Tips
Both of these sides arrive here in form and the match result looks a little tricky to predict. Instead, we’ve opted for an anytime goalscorer for our main play of the afternoon in the form of Dejan Kulusevski to find the net at 33/10 with BetMGM.
The Swedish attacker has put in some classy displays over recent weeks and has two goals and two assists in his last four matches. Since James Maddison’s injury, Kulusevski has really stepped up in the final third. He has registered six shots on target across his last five appearances and can add to his tally of five league goals against Everton.
At 17/2 we are also plumping for Pape Sarr and Cristian Romero to be carded. Both of these players are one booking away from a suspension meaning they will enjoy Boxing Day off if they find their way into the book here.
Senegalese midfielder Sarr has been booked in four of his 13 league starts this season. He averages over a foul a game this season and the prospect of being able to spend some more time with family over Christmas may well be enough to force him into a card against Everton.
Cristian Romero needs no introduction when it comes to card-collecting. The World Cup winner was shown nine yellows and a red card in the Premier League last season and is on course to eclipse that tally this term having already been brandished four yellows and a red. Dominic Calvert-Lewin should prove a handful for Romero on Saturday and combining him and Sarr to be carded pays 17/2.
