Tottenham vs Arsenal Bet Builder Tips
North London derbies can often be high scoring eventful affairs that are card-heavy, and to kick things off on Sunday we are backing Bukayo Saka to record Over 2.5 shots in the match. The 22-year-old needs one more goal to make this his best scoring league season for the Gunners and he has by far let off the most shots of any player in his squad since the start of the campaign.
In total, Saka has let off 96 shots in the Premier League at an average of 3 per game - that’s 26 more shots than any other Arsenal player. In Saka’s last 12 top-flight matches he has registered three or more shots in 11 of those and despite this being a tricky test for Arteta and co we expect Saka to be lively in front of the Spurs goal.
The first of two players we are targeting for a card on Sunday is Cristian Romero. The Tottenham centre-back should be in for a good physical battle with Kai Havertz and with no love lost between these two teams, plenty of bookings could be on the agenda.
In his first season with Spurs, Romero was shown nine yellows and one red card in just 27 appearances. He hasn’t quite hit those highs for card-backers this term but still has a healthy six yellow and one red to his name in 2023/24 and looks a strong candidate for another here.
In previous seasons Kai Havertz may have been a bit of a left-field choice when picking out players to be booked, but this term he has collected more cards than any other Arsenal player.
In the Premier League the German has nine yellows, whilst he has also been cautioned twice in the Champions League and League Cup. Havertz also ranks top for fouls committed for Arsenal this season and with this being a must win game if they are to stay in the title race, his tenth booking of the campaign would not be a surprise.
