A large proportion of Spurs’ success this season is due to Son Heung-min rediscovering some of his best form after the departure of Harry Kane. It is vital that the South Korean steps up to the plate and provides goals this season with Kane managing 30 in the league in the most recent campaign.
Only Erling Haaland has scored more league goals than Son in 2023/24 after his brace against Arsenal last week. Ange Postecoglou looks to have restored the confidence and belief that was lacking in goals and I’d certainly recommend taking Son in the anytime scorer market rather than shots on target, due to his five goals from just seven shots on target.
The final leg of this three-pronged approach is for James Maddison to be carded. Only eight players in the Premier League hit double figures for yellow cards last season, with Maddison being one of those with 10.
