Sparta Prague vs Liverpool Tips
Kicking off our 50/1 punt is Cody Gakpo to find the net any time in the match. With Liverpool already having bagged one trophy this term and still fighting on three fronts, rotation is expected from Klopp after the late 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest thanks to a late Darwin Nunez header at the City Ground on Saturday.
Gakpo is expected to retain his place in the starting XI for the trip to Eastern Europe on Thursday and in this competition, this season he already has two goals in three starts. The Dutchman is one of four Liverpool players to already have hit 10 goals across all competitions this season, and with youngsters Harvey Elliott and Lewis Koumas expected to start with him in a front-three, Gakpo makes appeal to score at the current prices.
Sparta Prague face the daunting task of taking on Liverpool, which has made even tougher by knowing they have to go to the cauldron that is Anfield on a European night for the second leg. Sparta will want to keep themselves in the tie as much as possible for the return trip to England next week.
It would be no surprise to the hosts rack up a few cards on Thursday and the player we like the look of is centre-back Ladislav Krejci. The 24-year-old was suspended for the second leg of Sparta’s knockout tie with Galatasaray two weeks ago and returns here. Krejci has been shown four yellows in six European outings for Brian Priske’s side this season and has collected a further four cards in 15 league outings in the 2023/24 domestic campaign.
Rounding off our three-pronged punt is Wataru Endo to also find his way into the book. The Japanese midfielder has put in some classy performances when he has been called upon this season, however when it comes to card-collecting he has been booked in 54.5% of his Premier League starts. Endo has also been carded in the Europa League and League Cup for Liverpool since his arrival last summer and combining him and Krejci to be carded along with Gakpo to score pays 50/1 with BoyleSports.
