Slovakia vs Romania Bet Builder Tips
Group E consists of Slovakia, Romania, the Ukraine and Romania, with all four teams sitting on three points heading into Wednesday’s matches. Romania sit top of the pile, while Slovakia sit third and as a result a draw here would carry them both through to the knockout stage of the tournament.
This should create a handshake type situation where both teams are happy to avoid defeat. The draw can be backed at just 11/10 in the match result market, and I think we’ll see a dire, slow game with hardly any action, particularly if the scores are level going into the final 20 minutes.
I’ve therefore kicked-off this Bet Builder by opting for Under 2.5 goals. We should see plenty of passing the ball around the back-line from either team and it’s hard to envisage this being a high-scoring contest.
With a lack of intensity and urgency from both teams I also think we will see a low card-count. Traditionally final fixtures of the group stage often see an increase in cards shown, however, the situation that presents itself here allows for exception considering the permutations. Slovakia have only been shown one yellow card across their two matches so far, while Romania have collected three, with two coming against Belgium and one against Ukraine.
Rounding off the trio of selections and taking us up to a very backable 5/1 is Under 8.5 Corners. Both teams are averaging 5.5 corners per game so far at the Euros but caution should prevail here in Frankfurt. If this match plays out the way I think it should then I don’t think either will get near that average. Combining Under 8.5 Corners, with Under 2.5 Goals and Under 2.5 cards pays 5/1 with BetMGM
