Scotland Euro 2021 tips and Betting Odds
Welcome to BettingOdds.com's Euro 2021 profile series, where we'll be counting down to the tournament with an in-depth look at the betting opportunities for each of the countries involved.
Author's Opinion
Scotland have little experience at the European Championships, having only qualified for the tournament once in the last 23 years - Euro 98' - where they bowed out in the group stages.
They are in a tough group alongside England, Croatia and the Czech Republic so will have their work cut out to make it through to the last-16 this summer. Personally, with such a lack of experience at major tournaments, I think that they'll finish bottom of Group D and their journey at Euro 2021 will end pretty quickly.

Top Three Key Players
Andrew Robertson, Liverpool
Captain Andrew Robertson will be a key player for Scotland at Euro 2021. The passionate Liverpool left-back is undoubtedly the most experienced member of the Tartan Army's squad having won the Champions League and Premier League in recent seasons. They'll need him to be a leader and set an example at the Euros if they're to stand any chance of making it past the group stages.
Scott McTominay, Man Utd
Although a few years younger than Robertson, Manchester United's Scott McTominay is a very similar player to his Liverpool counterpart in terms of the way he leads by example on the pitch. The 24-year-old has really come into his own at United this season, nailing down a regular starting position in the first team and helping them to second in the Premier League and a European final. He'll be the difference for Scotland in the middle of the park this summer, and it'll be interesting to see how he fares on the main international stage for the first time.
John McGinn, Aston Villa
Another player with plenty of Premier League experience, Aston Villa's John McGinn often performs better for his country than he does at club level. He has the ability to change the game in a heartbeat and his creativity in the final third will be pivotal for Scotland at the Euros. McGinn has scored 5 goals for club and country this term and loves having a pop from distance, so keep an eye on his name in the shots markets this summer.
Young Gun
Kieran Tierney, Arsenal
23-year-old left-back Kieran Tierney has flourished at Arsenal this season and is a really valuable asset to the national team. He is often deployed as a left-sided centre-back due to Andrew Robertson taking up the left-back berth, but he is just as comfortable filling in there as he is at full-back - proven when he bagged a hat-trick of assists against the Faroe Islands earlier this year while playing in the heart of defence.
Scotland's Outright Odds at Euro 2021
Scotland are among the biggest-priced teams to win Euro 2021 for the first time in their history at 250/1. Only Hungary (400/1), Finland (500/1) and North Macedonia (500/1) are at bigger odds in the outright market.
Scotland's Group Odds at Euro 2021
Scotland are a big price to win Group D at 16/1, which is unsurprising given they will be competing alongside England, Croatia and the Czech Republic for a spot in the last-16. They are 6/4 just to qualify for the knockout stages with BetVictor.
The Gaffer
Scotland's manager is Steve Clarke, previous boss of West Brom, Reading, Aston Villa (caretaker) and Kilmarnock. As a player, Clarke won six caps for the national team between the years of 1987-1994.
