Real Madrid vs Borussia Dortmund Prediction: Vinicius Tipped in a 6/1 Double, Team News & More

Real Madrid are one of the leading contenders to win a sixth Club World Cup title but they face a tricky test in the last of the quarter-finals when they take on Borussia Dortmund.
The match at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, kicks off at 9pm BST on Saturday and will be shown live on Channel 5 and DAZN.
Real Madrid vs Borussia Dortmund Prediction
Real Madrid vs Borussia Dortmund Tips
Real Madrid have been the most dominant team in the history of the Club World Cup and despite the expansion of the tournament to 32 teams this year the Spanish side were second favourites for the title heading into the last-eight stage.
Los Blancos failed to clinch any domestic silverware this season but remain on course to add a more prestigious prize to their earlier wins in the UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Intercontinental Cup.
Real were held to a 1-1 draw by Al-Hilal in their first match under new head coach Xabi Alonso but the form of that result looks better now than it did at the time given the Saudi side's later elimination of Manchester City, and they have since made smooth progress with wins over Pachuca, Red Bull Salzburg and Juventus.
The 1-0 win over Juve was not as impressive as some might have anticipated after the Serie A side lost their previous match 5-2 to Manchester City and Real may again have to exercise plenty of patience against a Dortmund outfit who are in excellent form.
Three of the eight last-16 matches went to extra-time and a 90-minute draw could be a value option for bettors on the match at MetLife Stadium.
Dortmund have not been beaten in 11 matches since losing the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final to Real's rivals Barcelona, but they won the second leg at home and have triumphed in nine of their last 10 matches.
The exception was a goalless game against Fluminense in the opening match of this competition, but they have been efficient since in beating lower-grade opposition from Mamelodi Sundowns, Ulsan HD and their last-16 opponents Monterrey.
This will be the toughest match either side have faced for some time and it could be a relatively tight encounter for the right to play either PSG or Bayern in the semi-finals, making a draw at 90 minutes stand out at 3/1 with BetMGM.
Both these sides have shown they know the way to goal in this tournament and combining a forward from each team to score in the quarter-final could be rewarding.
Vinicius Junior opened the scoring for Real in their win over Red Bull Salzburg and will be keen to impress again given the impressive form of Gonzalo Garcia and the imminent return of Mbappe.
The 24-year-old scored the winning goal for Brazil in their recent World Cup game against Paraguay after a quiet spell by his standards and he could be rounding into form at the right time.
Serhou Guirassy has been a star for Dortmund in this competition after being the joint-top scorer in the Champions League with 13 goals.
His two goals against Monterrey took his tally for his last 10 matches to 12 and he looks capable of testing any defence in his current nick.
Combine these bets together to form a 6/1 goalscorer double with BetMGM.
Real Madrid vs Borussia Dortmund Team News
Kylian Mbappe could be able to start after coming off the bench to play the final 22 minutes against Juventus. However, Alonso has a difficult decision over who to leave out as the most likely candidate, Gonzalo Garcia, is the team's leading scorer with three goals.
He may be able to find a way to accommodate both players or may even choose to be cautious with his star man and introduce him from the bench again. David Alaba, Eduardo Camavinga, Endrick and Ferland Mendy are still out.
Dortmund's Jobe Bellingham will not be able to play against his brother Jude after picking up a yellow card against Monterrey which means he is suspended for this match.
Julian Brandt could come into the side to replace him, with Marcel Sabitzer another option for manager Niko Kovac. Nico Schlotterbeck, Emre Can and Salih Ozcan are injury absentees for Dortmund.
The lineups for Real Madrid vs Borussia Dortmund will be displayed below approximately one hour before kick-off.
