Ancelotti’s Madrid were crowned La Liga Champions this past Saturday after beating lowly Cadiz 3-0 in what has been an incredibly dominating season as they wrapped up the title with four games to spare. Real Madrid also continued their unbeaten run in the Champions League in a thrilling first leg against Bayern which lived up to the hype and ended all square with both teams finding the back of the net twice.
As expected, Tuchel’s side dominated the possession for large parts of the game and Madrid looked for opportunities on the counter attack with Vinicius’s pace causing a lot of problems defensively for the Germans. With Carvajal returning for Real Madrid and De Ligt expected to replace Kim for Bayern, both sides will have their strongest possible lineups available to them here so we can expect another blockbuster clash with both European powerhouses going toe to toe with each other.
With their star man now having amassed 44 goals for the season in all competitions, Bayern Munich will be banking on Harry Kane to continue his phenomenal goalscoring run while Vinicius Junior will be the man to watch out for from the Real Madrid camp having scored a brace at the Allianz Arena in the first leg.
Team News:
Aurelien Tchouameni is doubtful for Real Madrid. No other injuries/suspensions to worry about.
Coman, Sasha Boey, Bouna Sarr & Buchmann are out for Bayen Munich while Eric Dier & De Ligt are doubtful.
Real Madrid vs Bayern Munich Tips
Konrad Laimer is averaging the most fouls per game for Bayern Munich in the Champions League this season (1.9). He committed four fouls in the first leg, and a total of five fouls over the two quarter final legs against Arsenal. Up against the likes of Bellingham and Kroos, I expect him to put in strong tackles again and rack up the fouls.
As for Dani Carvajal, he has committed at least one foul in seven of his eight appearances in this competition so far this season and he will be directly up against the skilful Musiala who was fouled four times in the first leg. Carvajal missed the first leg due to a suspension but should come straight back in for Lucas Vazquez to minimise Musiala’s threat on the wing.
Finally, Rodrygo is averaging the most shots per game for Real Madrid in the Champions League this season (3.1) and has registered a shot in every single match in this competition this season (11/11).
Vinicius Jr. is Real Madrid’s top scorer in this competition this season with five goals and troubled Bayern with his pace in the first leg, scoring a brace. He was rested at the weekend against Cadiz, only playing 17 minutes off the bench and will be eager to get on the scoresheet again. He will be on penalties for Real Madrid and is also a major threat on the counter attack. As for Laimer, he committed four fouls in the first leg and was lucky to get away without a booking. Considering we have a card-happy referee Szymon Marciniak in charge who is averaging six cards per game in this season’s competition, I don’t think he will get away with persistent fouling this time around. Combining these two selections gives us a cracking longshot double @ 8/1 and we will take that with a small 0.25pt stake as our second bet for this game.
Best of luck if you follow these selections. Please always gamble responsibly
