April's Old Firm derby could have it all to play for should Rangers and Celtic remain on their current trajectory. Philippe Clement's side carry four straight wins into this fixture, having won their quartet of SPL matches since that defeat to the Old Bhoys in December.
In an interim appointment until the end of the season, the Dons have made Neil Warnock the man to steady the ship while a permanent replacement for Barry Robson is found. The decision came after a third game without a win, with The Dandies choosing to appoint a fourth manager in three years.
Rangers vs Aberdeen Tips
Rangers are in the groove right now, winning their last three matches to nil and meaning that the only defeat under Philippe Clement's tenure remains the derby defeat to Celtic. The Teddy Bears hold the best defensive record in SPL this campaign, having conceded just 11 goals in 23 league outings; with three of those coming against their bitter rivals.
At Ibrox the Gers have been especially impressive, winning 9 out of 11 fixtures and last dropping a point on home soil on 30th September. It's also worth noting that six of these nine wins have come to nil when playing in front of their own fans.
Although the Dons have scored past them twice this season, Rangers did manage to shut them out and win to nil in December's Scottish League Cup final and the prospect of a new manager coincides with them catching the hosts at a bad time. When Neil Warnock took charge of Huddersfield it took his side five games to notch, with Town losing three of those four fixtures. Even then, they only scored 17 across 14 fixtures with Warnock at the helm, further solidifying the 75-year-old's reliance on a strong defence over a free-flowing attack.
Nigerian striker Cyriel Dessers has 12 goals in all comps this season for Rangers, serving as an adequate alternate to the injured Danilo. Dessers has scored two in his last three league matches, providing seven goal contributions across his last eight SPL outings.
Opposite him on Tuesday night is another deadly man in front of goal: Bojan Miovski. The Macedonian has executed a goals average of better than one every two games this term, carrying an underperforming Aberdeen side with his 12 strikes from 22 appearances. Miovski has registered the most shots (59) and shots on target (23) of any Dons player - tallies that see him sit fourth for both in the entire division - as well as only being outscored by Hearts' Lawrence Shankland.
Their star man has hit this line in 16/22 SPL fixtures, proving successful in both of his last two matches, as well as in four of his last five and in nine of 12.
