Premier League Season Preview: Two Pound Punt gives us a 125/1 pick for the 2021/2022 campaign

After a very different season and a half, things are returning back to normality with actual games taking place at 3pm on a Saturday, rather than every hour of the week. If you can't tell, I was not a fan of every game being on TV. However, it may be a different season, but I feel one thing that is certainly not going to change will be Manchester CIty's stranglehold on the Premier League.
It does look to be far more competitive this time round, with Chelsea and Manchester United especially making waves in the transfer market. Liverpool haven't added much but will welcome back Virgil van Dijk alongside others and look like they will keep hold of their attacking talent. With all that being said however, City are not to be outdone dropping a cool £100mil on Grealish and with a move for Harry Kane very much still on the cards, they may not run away with it this season but it still looks a huge ask to usurp them from the top.
Leicester are just a fantastically run club and look geared up and ready to go in their 1-0 victory over Man City in the Community Shield. Missing out on Champions League football was a blow, but on the flip side it gives them the chance to really concentrate on the league and put in another good showing. WIth 2 of the so-called "top 6”, in Spurs and Arsenal, not instilling much confidence at all, I would not be surprised to see Leicester in the mixer once again at their expense.
I think Newcastle are still to actually make a signing this summer and with continuous off-field antics making headlines, this really feels like it will be a very tricky season to navigate. Clubs coming up from the Championship are stronger than ever and the Geordies I know are genuinely worried. With a light squad and being reliant on Joelinton for goals I think time could be up for Newcastle, sorry!
Wolves are an interesting one, before the end of the season I would have had good money on players like Adama Traore, Pedro Neto and Ruben Neves to be on their way, although the latter looks likely still. However, it was their manager Nuno Santo that left in the end and I think that will be a harder gap to fill than any of the aforementioned players. One positive is the return of Raul Jimenez, however I think their goal this season will be for a comfortable mid-table finish as they look to rebuild after the superb job Nuno has done.
It wouldn't be a pre-season special from me without a Manchester United pick and of course I am going with that guy Bruno. He actually ended up having a bit of a break during the Euros not playing anywhere near as much as I had expected. He looked fresh in pre-season and will be on the vast majority of attacking set pieces. I am also expecting to see an attempted return to a more attacking style of play for United this season, with what now looks a strong defence, allowing the team to be more adventurous with the ball.
Bundle all of these together and we get a rather tempting 125/1 shot with Paddy Power, which can also be boosted to 150/1!
Man City win the EPL, Leicester top 6, Wolves bottom half, Newcastle relegation, Bruno Fernandes 15+ EPL goals - 125/1
