In their latest league outing Norwich took the lead against Sunderland but failed to contain the Black Cats' in the final third thereafter, going on to lose 3-1. Heading into the weekend, The Canaries find themselves 17th in the second tier table, eight points above the drop zone.
With six victories through 14 matches, Jon Dahl Tomasson’s side sit 12th in the standings heading into the latest rounding of fixtures. Since his switch into a more advanced role Rankin-Costello has scored in two of his five league matches for Blackburn and has let off at least one shot in each of the quintet. The main factor here is that, in recent weeks, he has been moved from playing as a right-back into midfield.
I’ll therefore be having a few quid on him to score against Norwich this weekend. With Sammie Szmodics potentially starting from the bench there is also a chance that he could well be on penalty duty for his side. Sky bet go 5/1 he grabs his third league goal of the campaign on Sunday.
