Next Liverpool Manager Odds
Bookmakers have released the odds on possible contenders to replace Klopp with a combination of familiar faces and high-profile names all featuring in the market.
Xabi Alonso: 8/13
It won't come as too much of a surprise to see Xabi Alonso as the early leading contender.
Not only is Alonso a very popular former Liverpool player but the Spaniard's managerial star is shining extremely brightly right now following a stunning start to the season with Bayer Leverkusen.
The German side are enjoying a remarkable run of 28 unbeaten matches in all competitions this term - a German record - consisting of 24 wins, which puts them top of the Bundesliga table. Furthermore, they remain in contention to win the German Cup and Europa League.
Who knows, he could return to Liverpool this summer as a treble winner!
Roberto De Zerbi: 6/1
If Liverpool are considering looking within the Premier League for a potential replacement then Roberto De Zerbi could well find himself in contention.
The Brighton boss soared the Seagulls to 6th last season - the club's highest top flight finish ever - and has since gone on to top a Europa League group featuring Marseille and Ajax.
De Zerbi's attacking and entertaining style of play, touchline passion, and familiarity with the Premier League make him a viable candidate.
Pep Lijnders: 10/1
Klopp's assistant Pep Lijnders has long been spoken about as a successor at Anfield. He knows both the club and players inside-out and has received an apprenticeship from one of the best bosses in the business.
Liverpool have, however, revealed in a statement that Lijnders, alongside Peter Krawietz and Vitor Matos, will also vacate their positions at the end of the season.
Julian Nagelsmann: 14/1
After the unbelievable success of Klopp, could Liverpool opt for his fellow countryman Julian Nagelsmann?
The talented young coach, 36, has big club experience from his spell managing Bayern Munich while he's currently in the process of conjuring up a plan to deliver the German national team glory on home soil in this summer's European Championships.
His contract runs through to the end of the tournament meaning he will be available in July, although there's every chance that Liverpool will be keen to bring a new manager in at the start of the summer as opposed to the end.
Ange Postecoglou: 16/1
Here's an interesting one...could Liverpool like to poach the manager of a Premier League rival?
Postecoglou has been a breath of fresh air in the Tottenham dugout, injecting a bold and exciting philosophy into his side, while simultaneously transforming the mood around the club.
A huge personality, the popular Postecolgou is loved at Tottenham, but his impact may not have gone unnoticed elsewhere. The Australian grew up a massive Liverpool fan and could be one to monitor at 16/1 to go on and manage his boyhood club.
Ruben Amorim: 16/1
Ruben Amorim's work at Sporting CP over the last four years has been extremely impressive. In his first full season the Portuguese coach delivered the club their first league title in 19 years, which he paired with Taca da Liga success.
He's targeting a second title this term with his troops leading the way at the summit of the table, ahead of defending champions Benfica.
At 39, he has an extremely bright future ahead of him in the managerial arena.
Who Else?
Another German, in RB Leipzig boss Marco Rose, finds himself in the betting, as does Italy manager Luciano Spalletti - who famously led Napoli to Serie A glory last year - the long-serving Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone, and PSG's Luis Enrique.
It wasn't too long ago that it seemed inevitable that Steven Gerrard would succeed Klopp, however, after the poor end to his Aston Villa spell he's now out in Saudi Arabia and, in truth, unlikely to be considered on this occasion.
Zinedine Zidane and Graham Potter remain available for hire, Jose Mourinho is searching for his next challenge after leaving Roma, while Gareth Southgate is out at 50/1.
