Next Leeds United Manager Odds: Daniel Farke leads the market ahead of Patrick Vieira

Leeds United remain on the hunt for a new manager following the exit of Sam Allardyce.
Below we look at who the betting sites have priced up as key contenders in the next Leeds United manager market.
Daniel Farke
Daniel Farke is now as short as 1/5 with some betting sites to take over as Leeds manager next season. The papers reported on Friday that Leeds and Farke held talks after the club made him their preferred option to takeover as manager.
The German is currently out of a job as his time at Borussia Monchengladbach was cut short after a very underwhelming 2022/23 season. It's clear that Farke knows what it takes to get back into the Premier League after twice winning the Championship with Norwich.
Whilst his time back in Germany may have been underwhelming he's by no means a bad manager, he had immense success with Norwich in the second-tier, something he was unable to replicate in the Premier League.
Patrick Vieira
Recent reports suggested that Patrick Vieira was close to becoming the new Leeds manager. Leeds officials have said there will be an announcement coming in the next few weeks for the vacant position and interviews have taken place.
Vieira has been closely linked with Leeds for a while and although his odds to take over as manager have drifted from 1/3 to 11/4, he's very much still in the running if they can't convince Daniel Farke on the project.
The ex-Arsenal legend has been out of work since March of this year after he was axed as Palace boss.
Scott Parker
Scott Parker's managerial career has been a strange one so far.
At Fulham, he was relegated-promoted-relegated, then won promotion with Bournemouth, only to be axed after a 9-0 drubbing at Liverpool. He then moved on to the Belgian league with Club Brugge but was dismissed after 12 games.
One thing you can't doubt though is his prowess in the Championship where he has earned promotion on two occasions. At the end of the day, Leeds have one goal next season and that's promotion back to the Premier League and, with Parker proving on a couple of occasions he is more than capable of doing so, it could be a great appointment.
Leeds are taking their time with this vacant position and Parker is one of many names rumoured to be under consideration. The club have placed him on their short list as potential managerial candidates and that has seen his odds get cut from 33/1 to 13/2.
Graham Potter
Potter's managerial career was on the up after his move to Chelsea but that unfortunately did not work out and he's now a free man and is being linked to a move to Championship side Leeds United. It'd be a bit of a downgrade from Chelsea but what a coop it would be for Leeds.
Potter's whole tenure at Brighton was something special and Brighton fans will still be thanking Potter to this day for their rise up to the Premier League. Potter is priced at 8/1 to join Leeds and whilst it's still a big price, he was previously as big as 25/1 to take over as Leeds boss.
Carlos Corberan
Carlos Corberan was as short as 7/2 in the betting but has now drifted out to 33/1 to become the next Leeds manager. Leeds were reportedly interested in paying the £2m release clause in his contract to get him to Elland Rd next season. The Spaniard has had three clubs in the last three years with Huddersfield, Olympiacos, and West Brom all on his resume.
Corberan spent three years managing Leeds United’s U23 team and worked as Bielsa’s assistant so his ties to Leeds are very apparent. However, The West Brom boss signed a new deal in February to tie him down to West Brom until 2027. With a relatively small release clause that should pose no issue to get him out of his contract but it does look as though he wants to make the West Brom project work.
Who will Leeds be playing on the opening weekend?
Leeds will be starting their Championship campaign off against Cardiff City. The game will be played on the 6th August at Elland Rd.
What price are Leeds to win the Championship?
Currently Leeds are the third favourites at 8/1 to win the Championship with Leicester and Southampton being priced just a tiny bit shorter than Leeds. In terms of promotion they're again one of the favourites and strangely shorter to get promotion than Southampton are despite the betting sites favouring the Saints to win the whole thing.
Who have Leeds drawn in the League Cup?
Leeds have been drawn Shrewsbury in the first round of the League Cup. This game will take place at Elland Rd on the 8th August.
