Middlesbrough vs Sunderland Predictions
Monday's game is one in which both sides will be desperate to avoid defeat as they try to move closer to promotion.
The hosts have slipped out of the top six after one win in four league matches, while it is now just one win in five in all competitions for Boro after a 1-0 loss to Blackburn Rovers in the third round of the FA Cup.
Michael Carrick's side have struggled of late due to injuries, and that is unlikely to change against Sunderland.
While Boro's form has dipped, they are still relatively consistent at home. The Boro fans have seen their side lose only three times at the Riverside Stadium this season, and they have not lost any of their last six league games in the northeast.
Meanwhile, Sunderland have lost only four times on the road all season, but they have failed to score in five of their last 10 away matches.

Games between these two sides have been relatively low scoring over the years.
Middlesbrough's 4-0 win in October 2023 is the only game in the last five that has featured more than two goals.
This fixture finished 1-1 in February 2024, and there's good value for that scoreline to occur again.
Both teams are ravaged by injuries, and a draw would not be the end of the world as they try to navigate this tricky period.
Carrick's team and Regis Le Bris's men have both been guilty of not putting games to bed, so a 1-1 draw looks a sensible shout ahead of this derby battle.
