Mason Mount Next Club Odds: Liverpool open as favourites to sign Chelsea midfielder

It's looking increasingly likely that Mason Mount will not be playing his football at Stamford Bridge next season with contract talks between the player and Chelsea seemingly hitting a standstill.
Mount has been a Chelsea boy his whole life so it's difficult to see him elsewhere but a number of clubs have already reportedly stepped up their interest.
We'll take a look at the odds for his next club and go through the market leaders in the betting market.

Liverpool
Liverpool have been installed as the early favourites from online betting sites for Mason Mount's signature and I'm sure the Liverpool fans would more than welcome this signing.
The midfielder has been a clear issue for the Reds for a few seasons now and they haven't made many attempts to fix this area. Mount would add some creativity and stability into the midfield which is something they are desperate for.
Liverpool have lacked goals from the midfield for a while and with Milner and Henderson both reaching the latter stages of their career, some young talent in that area would go a long way at Anfield.
The media made it quite clear that their main target was Jude Bellingham but it's looking increasingly unlikely that the Dortmund player will make a move over to Liverpool in the coming window. With that news recently breaking, they have reportedly stepped up their interest in Mount which would make a lot of sense.
It'd be a really good signing for Liverpool in my opinion and for Mount, you could argue this is a step up given Chelsea's current position. If Potter doesn't want him, I'm sure Klopp would definitely be happy to sign him.
Manchester United
It wouldn’t be a transfer saga without Manchester United being involved somehow. They find themselves as the second favourites to sign Mason Mount and whilst it’s still at a fairly big price of around the 6/1 mark, the move could make more sense than you first think.
It looks like United have started finally recruiting right and with the signings of Eriksen and Casemiro in the midfield but, when those two don’t feature, you can see the hole they leave. They’ve opted for Sabitzer on a loan deal to replace the role that Eriksen has currently left but of course, that deal will end at the end of this season.
Bayern have said they want to keep Sabitzer and there isn’t an option to buy which would mean that Man Utd are yet again down a man in the midfield heading into next season. If they do want a player similar to Sabitzer, Mount would be a brilliant option if he is available but they may opt for a more defensive-minded midfielder instead of a goalscorer like Mason Mount.
Manchester City
Manchester City are mentioned in the betting as the 12/1 third favourites and whilst it is very unlikely that this move happens, I think we’re all pretty sure if the opportunity came up for Mount he would definitely take it.
Pep Guardiola has been full of praise in the past when it comes to the Chelsea midfielder and although a move does seem unlikely, if Man City are to get rid of Bernardo Silva and Gundogan in the Summer, they will be lacking midfield options. Mount will almost definitely fill that Bernardo Silva role fairly well and we all know Man City are not shy of splashing the cash.
Whilst it does remain unlikely, there is a world where this move happens if he becomes available and Guardiola will almost certainly turn Mount into one of the better midfielders in the league.
Others
The market gets pretty dicey after these three teams with moves abroad to Germany, Spain and Italy all priced at 12/1 with BetVictor. PSG are priced at around 16/1 but I’m not entirely sure how that move makes any sense with Lionel Messi and Neymar often occupying that number 10 role.
The most interesting one of the outsiders would have to be Newcastle at 33/1 which could potentially be a massive price. Newcastle have tried a number of times to secure James Maddison from Leicester but if they fail to convince him to join another time, expect them to turn their attention to Mason Mount. They may even forget about the Leicester midfielder and go all in on Mount, who knows? They are yet to make that huge big money signing and securing a player like Mason Mount would be a massive statement.
