Man United vs Burnley Prediction and Betting Tips: Back Alejandro Garnacho to open the scoring

After squeezing through to the FA Cup Final Manchester United then scraped past Premier League basement boys Sheffield United in midweek when they overturned a 2-1 deficit to win 4-2 but again failed to convince.

Next up for the Red Devils are relegation candidates Burnley, who are three points adrift of safety despite beating the Blades 4-1 at the weekend. 

The game takes place on Saturday at Old Trafford with kick-off set for 3pm.

Burnley have given themselves an outside chance of staying up in what now looks to be a three-way battle between themselves, Nottingham Forest, and Luton to remain in the top-flight next season.

Vincent Kompany’s side have lost just one of their last seven league games as they attempt to grind their way towards retaining their Premier League status.

The Clarets will no doubt be confident that they can get the better of a Manchester United side who have been nowhere near their best of late despite reaching the FA Cup final.

The Clarets have netted in six of their last seven matches and put four past relegation rivals Sheffield United last time out.

That will give them belief that they can get a result in Manchester, as will United's record of shipping 13 goals in their last five games in all competitions.

Goals looks extremely likely and it would be no surprise if the high-scoring trend of United's matches continues.

Alejandro Garnacho has made a big impact for Manchester United in a short period of time and the Argentinian could add to his tally of seven league goals against Burnley.

Those goals have come in just 25 starts and only Rasmus Hojlund and Bruno Fernandes have netted more league goals for United this season than Garnacho.

He averages the most shots per 90 minutes of any Red Devils player (3.39) and his scattergun approach could pay dividends against a team who have conceded 69 times in 34 league games.
