There’s nothing splitting these sides from a betting perspective with the bookmakers pricing them both around the 8/5 mark.

I’m not usually a corner bettor, however, the averages these teams are putting up are impressive.
Only Arsenal and Liverpool have taken more corner kicks than these two sides in the top-flight this season. United have racked up 118, Villa aren’t far behind with 112.
When playing at Old Trafford, there has been an average of 14.11 corners per match, eight of the nine matches have witnessed at least 12 corners, well above the amount we need here.
Villa’s nine away days have all seen double digit corner totals, at an average of 12.56.
Erik ten Hag’s side average 9.33 corners per game here whilst conceding 4.78. Unai Emery’s men rack up an average of 7.33 with their opponents hitting 5.22.
The averages are strong, I was expecting this line to be much higher given the statistics. If there are ten or more corners in this affair, this selection will be a winner.
Given the bet has landed in a combined 18/19 matches between these sides at home and away respectively this campaign, the price is too big to ignore.
Ollie Watkins To Score
It’s been a fantastic first half of the season for Aston Villa’s number 11 Ollie Watkins, he’s bagged nine goals and assisted six in 18 Premier League appearances in 23/24. Only Mo Salah and Erling Haaland have more goal involvements than the Englishman.
The away side have every chance of getting a result on Tuesday night, they’re facing a side who’ve kept a single clean sheet in their last seven matches in all competitions. Erik ten Hag has limited defensive options heading into this clash. Casemiro, Harry Maguire and Lisandro Martinez are all sidelined until 2024, while Raphael Varane and Victor Lindelof are doubts.
Villa weren’t quite up to their usual standards on Friday night where they needed a goal in extra time to clinch a draw with The Blades. Emery would have drilled the players prior to this clash and will order that things are put right. Watkins will be at the heart of attacking situations, he’s the biggest goal threat and is just as good at creating goal scoring opportunities.
His price to score appeals at 13/8, only Luton and Wolves have failed to score at Old Trafford this season, the latter were unfortunate to do so.
Watkins has had a goal involvement in 10 matches from 18 this season and has found the back of the net in eight of his last 14 games for club and country.
