Arsenal have only won once at Old Trafford since 2006, but I think they will claim all three points on Sunday.
They have been very workman-like in recent weeks and have shown maturity and trust in matches where they may have been doubted in previous years. Areta’s side have now won four on the bounce, scoring three or more in 75% of those.
One of their stand-out performers over the course of the campaign has been Bukayo Saka who has now hit 20 goals across all formats - his best ever return for the club.
Saka opened the scoring by converting a penalty in the first half against Bournemouth and I am backing him to find the net first once again at Old Trafford. Arsenal have been starting games really well lately and taking a look at Saka’s shot totals across his last six top-flight matches they read: 3,4,4,4,3,7.
The 21-year-old already has five goal contributions against Manchester United in his short career, with three goals and two assists. Only the great Thierry Henry has more goal involvements (12) against United for Arsenal in the Premier League era and I am backing Saka to open the scoring here.
Bruno Fernandes will be a welcome return to the Manchester United side on Sunday after a wrist injury. The midfielder was back in training earlier in the week and should slot straight back into the starting XI for Erik ten Hag.
No member of the Manchester United squad has been carded on more occasions in the top-flight this term with Fernandes collecting eight yellow. The 29-year-old has a further two cautions to his name in European competition and has also a booking in the FA Cup. United look set to struggle on Sunday and Fernandes’ petulance and argumentative nature with officials could land him in the book again.
