The teams met in Bern two weeks ago where Man City ran out 3-1 winners at Stadion Wankdorf.
Pep Guardiola’s side are overwhelming favourites for this clash, they’re no bigger than 1/11 which is pretty extraordinary.
If you want to back goals, it’s just 1/3 for the traditional over 2.5. The Asian handicap is currently set at -2.5, in City’s favour of course.
I’ve selected two odds against bets for this clash.
Man City vs Young Boys Tips
Man City have won 3-1 in all three of their Champions League games this campaign, they’ve also conceded in seven of their 11 Premier League games this term.
Both Teams To Score is priced as big as 7/4 in places which looks a little big given the circumstances.
Of course, this selection is all on Young Boys to find the back of the net, it won’t be a straightforward task by any means.
Like their upcoming opponents, Raphael Wicky’s men have bagged in all three matches in this competition.
We saw Man City run away with all three points at home to Bournemouth over the weekend, they did give up 0.91xG and conceded in a 6-1 win.
The prices are very similar on Tuesday night to what they were on Saturday.
There’s little to no pressure on the Swiss side here, they aren’t expected to get a result, but, in reality, they do need to earn some points if they want to progress further into the competition.
Young Boys have bagged in 18 of their 20 games in 2023/24 across all competitions. It’s a strong stat and I’m willing to get them onside against all the odds.
City will play a high line like they usually do at home, they’ll rack up the passes and dominate possession. They’re a fantastic side to watch but can gift sides chances on the break, and that’s what I’m looking at with this selection.
Jeremy Doku was unbelievable on Saturday afternoon when he bagged the opener and provided assists for the next four goals.
He’s tremendously quick, can go both ways, and is a real handful. I’m confident he can continue his remarkable form and find the back of the net at the Etihad in a game his side are expected to win with ease.
The Belgian is 5/2 to score at anytime, a price that looks too big to ignore. He’s had 6,3,2 and 3 shots in his last four starts for Man City and will be full of confidence. He had two shots on target in the reverse fixture a fortnight ago, recording 0.39xG alone.
Man City may be without Erling Haaland which will mean other players within the squad will have more chances, there’s no doubt that they’ll score a handful here.
The price on the Belgian youngster to find the back of the net does appeal, he’s as short as 6/5 in places which makes the 5/2 a value bet with UniBet.
Young Boys have the second worst xGA stats, only beaten by fellow Group G participants, Red Star Belgrade.
Doku will feel massively disappointed if he isn’t named in the starting lineup after his recent performances, I’m expecting him to shine in what should be yet another home victory.
