Livingston vs. Celtic Betting Tips: Kyogo Furuhashi backed in Saturday lunchtime match
Celtic travel to Livingston looking to build on their unbeaten start to the new Scottish Premiership season as the defending champions bid to bounce back from their mid-week Champions League loss to Feyenoord.
Livingston, 7th, will take encouragement from just the one loss in 10 matches this season in all competitions (90 minutes), while they are currently enjoying a seven-game unbeaten league run on home soil, dating back to March.
The Saturday lunchtime clash with kick-off at 12.30pm on Sky Sports Football, with our two tips located below.
Celtic's latest Champions League campaign got off to a disappointing start after they lost 2-0 to Feyenoord in a game which saw both Gustaf Lagerbielke and Odin Thiago Holm handed red cards.
Back-to-back home clashes against Lazio and Atletico Madrid are on the horizon in Europe, but first they return to domestic action with a trip to Livingston on Saturday.
The Hoops have collected 13 points from a possible 15 so far in the league and a fifth win of the campaign will extend their lead at the summit to five points - for a few hours at least - with bookmakers making Brendan Rodgers' side the red-hot 3/10 favourites.
Livingston are out at 11/1, although it's worth noting that they have won two and drawn three of their last six home games against Celtic.
Livingston vs Celtic Tips
For my opening bet I'm taking Betfair's best-price of 21/20 for both teams to find the back of the net, which is odds-on with the majority of other bookmakers.
As touched upon above, Livingston can bank on a decent record at home to Celtic who they have beaten twice in the last four seasons.
Both teams have found the back of the net in three of the last five clashes at Almondvale Stadium, which includes two 2-2 draws.
While backing a home win may be a stretch, I feel the hosts have a great opportunity to do some damage against their opponents who will be wounded by their 2-0 defeat to Feyenoord.
No player in the league has scored more goals (four) or unleashed more shots (17) this season than Celtic's Kyogo Furuhashi.
The Japanese forward has scored in all but one of Celtic's five league games, including the winner in the Old Firm at Ibrox earlier this month.
Furuhashi has now scored 31 goals in his last 41 league appearances and he found the back of the net in all three games against Livingston last term.
Furuhashi is available at 4/5 to score once again this weekend, a bet I've combined with a yellow for Jamie Brandon to form a 4/1 Bet Builder with bet365.
The Livingston wingback is known to hurl himself into tackles and has been carded in each of his last three matches - a worrying trend - with only Aberdeen's Slobodan Rubezic (4/1) picking up more yellows so far this campaign.
