Liverpool vs Real Madrid Prediction, Odds and Betting Tips: Mo Salah tipped in 8/1 double
Liverpool will host Real Madrid in an all-important Champions League clash on Wednesday at the Anfield Stadium.
Tipster Wizard has supplied his best bets for the game, including an 8/1 double featuring the in-form Mo Salah.
Liverpool vs Real Madrid Predictions
Arne Slot’s men are on a hugely impressive 14 game unbeaten run in all competitions, winning 13 of those games. This run has seen them go eight points clear at the top of the Premier League as well as top of the Champions League table having accumulated 12/12 points, winning all four games in this competition. They have scored 10 goals and conceded just one in the Champions League this season and a win here will almost certainly cement their place inside the top eight and see them qualify for the Round of 16 stage.
As for Real Madrid, they sit second in their domestic league, four points behind Barcelona with a game in hand but are struggling in the Champions League so far this season as they sit 18th in the league table with just six points after four games. They were beaten 1-0 by Lille back in October and then AC Milan turned up at the Bernabeu to hand them a 3-1 defeat. With just four games left in the league stage of the competition, a result here is vital if the Spanish powerhouses are to finish inside the top eight spots and qualify for the knockout stages. However, with the likes of Vinicius, Rodrygo, Militao, Alaba, Tchouameni and Courtois out, Madrid face an uphill task of going up to an in-form Liverpool side and battle for a result.
Real Madrid are completely dominant when it comes to the head-to-head record. The Spanish giants have won seven of the last eight meetings in the Champions League, including a 5-2 hammering at Anfield last year, which helped qualify for the quarter-finals of this competition. Despite their historical dominance over Liverpool, they will go into this game as the underdogs which is an extremely rare occurrence.
A massive Champions League clash awaits us, and I have included my two best bets for the clash in the preview below:
Ibrahima Konate has registered at least one tackle in his last six league games in a row. In the Champions League, this selection has landed twice in the four games so far but considering he is expected to be isolated against Mbappe quite a few times in this game, he will have ample opportunities to put in a tackle.
Luis Diaz has attempted a shot in eight of his ten starts for Liverpool in all competitions this season. He scored a hat-trick in his last Champions League game against Leverkusen, attempting four shots in the process and also attempted three shots in a 28 minute cameo against Southampton at the weekend. Having come off the bench at the weekend, he will be expected to start here full of confidence after his hat-trick last time out.
As for Mac Allister, he has committed a foul in 13 of his 14 starts in all competitions for Liverpool this season. He has committed a foul in all four of his Champions League games this season and up against a tough Real Madrid midfield comprising of Jude Bellingham, Modric & Camavinga, I expect him to get stuck in and put in aggressive tackles in a bid to win the ball back for his team.
With Real Madrid desperately needing a result, we could be in for a very open second 45 minutes of this game. There has been a second half goal in Liverpool’s last six consecutive games in all competitions while Real Madrid have seen a second half goal scored in their last seven consecutive games in all competitions.

Mohamed Salah is in supreme goalscoring form, having scored a staggering eight goals in his last ten appearances in all competitions. He scored a brace for Liverpool at the weekend against Southampton and will be on penalty duties which further boosts the chances of landing this selection.
Konate is Liverpool’s most booked player with seven yellow cards to his name. He has already been booked twice in his four Champions League appearances so far this season and considering he could be up against Mbappe on the counter, he could be forced into making a cynical foul.
We have a card happy referee Francois Letexier who is dishing out five cards per game on average this season which is great for this selection.
Combining these two selections gives us a huge longshot double @ 8/1 which we will take with a small 0.25pt stake as our second bet for this blockbuster clash.
Best of luck if you follow these selections. Please always gamble responsibly.
