Liverpool vs. Ajax Betting Tips: Luis Diaz focal point of two UCL selections

Liverpool vs Ajax Tips
Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool side started their 22/23 Champions League campaign in horrible fashion last week. The bookies have Liverpool at 1/2 ahead of this fixture, with the away side currents sitting at 9/2. I certainly won’t be backing the hosts at that short price, although I do feel a reaction is imminent especially with the return of Thiago to the side.

With not so much data available on the Ajax homegrown full back, I will still be backing him for a card due to his direct opponent.
Luis Diaz is a man bang in form for Liverpool this season, despite the recent troubles of the reds. When you look at the 7 games Diaz has played this season, a staggering 5 of the opposing right backs have found themselves in the referees book. 19 year old Devyne Rensch should start at right back on Tuesday, and I would fancy Diaz to get the better of him. Diaz is drawing 2 fouls per game this season which is the highest in the Liverpool squad.
Referee Soares Dias isn’t shy of giving them out either. He’s dished out 22 yellows and a red in the four games he’s officiated this term.

A bet which I didn’t think I would be backing at the start of the season, but at 11/2 I think it’s worth a punt. Luis Diaz’ heading ability is definitely something that has come as a surprise to me as a Liverpool fan.
The Liverpool winger has managed 3 headed shots on target so far this campaign In 7 appearances, including a brace of headers in the 9-0 thumping vs Bournemouth. He managed another headed shot on target Vs Napoli after a darting run from the back post. This bet may not come close, but with the amount of crosses provided by the Liverpool fullbacks I think at 11/2 it’s certainly worthy a punt. Diaz is powerful in the air and with Ajax not being the tallest of teams in this competition, I’m happy to have 0.5 pts on this 11/2 shot which can be found under the shot specials section on Betfair.
