Leicester vs Man Utd Cheat Sheet: Key Stats & Betting Angles

This weekend’s standout fixture in the Premier League comes courtesy of Leicester vs Man United on Saturday afternoon.
Both sides are in dire need of a result to keep their respective ambitions alive; United find themselves in a tough title-battle alongside Man City, Liverpool and Chelsea, while Leicester desperately need to make up ground on the current top-six if they are to stand any chance of securing a European spot this term.
All eyes will be on two veterans of the game who are showing no signs of slowing down. Opposing strikers Jamie Vardy and Cristiano Ronaldo are expected to steal the headlines on Saturday, having both began the season in typically bullish form.
The pair feature in our Cheat Sheets for the game below, alongside the highest-ranked players for shots, fouls and cards. Scroll down for a more detailed analysis ahead of Saturday’s big fixture.

Leicester - Shots
Youri Tielemans is never one to shy away from shooting from distance, and this season it’s been no different. The Belgian has taken 15 shots (3 on target) in the top-flight this term and scored against United in the FA Cup last season.
He’s 13/10 to register just 1+ shot on target this weekend with Paddy Power and I’d certainly be inclined to have him on-side instead of the likes of Jamie Vardy or Harvey Barnes, who are both extremely short prices in the shots markets.

Leicester - Cards
Wilfried Ndidi is my play for a Leicester card. The Nigerian has averaged 1.17 fouls per game in the Premier League this season and, while he’s only been carded once, I think up against the likes of Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes in a very fluid United midfield with plenty of legs, there could be scope for a card for the 24-year-old to work his way into Craig Pawson’s notebook.

Man Utd - Shots
Paul Pogba has enjoyed a solid start to his campaign. The 28-year-old is the Premier League’s leading assist-provider with 7 to his name so far, and he heads into the game fresh from helping France win the UEFA Nations League last weekend.
The midfielder is yet to find the net for United in 2021-22 but it hasn’t been through a lack of trying. In his seven outings he has registered 17 shots (2.43 p.g) with 3 of those landing on target.
With the likes of Ronaldo (1/12), Fernandes (1/6) and Greenwood (1/3) so short for 1+ SoT, I like the look of Pogba for 1+ shot on target this weekend at 6/5 with Paddy Power. He will be brimming with confidence following Sunday’s UNL triumph - where he registered a shot on target against Spain - and should test Kasper Schmeichel from range at the King Power.

Man Utd - Cards
Luke Shaw is my preferred angle for a United card. The England international has been cautioned twice in the Premier League this term, and also found his name taken for the Three Lions in midweek after giving away a first half penalty against Hungary.
Furthermore, only Paul Pogba (2.29) has a higher average fouls-per-game figure than Shaw in the PL this season (1.71), and with referee Craig Pawson in charge - who has dished out an average of 3 cards per game in his five outings this term - I think there’s a strong chance the 26-year-old can pick up a booking at the King Power.
