Leicester vs. Manchester United Betting Tips: Red Devils to pile the misery on Rodgers

Gameweek 5 of the Premier League signs off in style on Thursday evening with a huge match-up from the King Power Stadium. Live on BT Sport, Brendan Rodgers' rock-bottom Leicester City take on a Man United side that come fresh off two wins in a row and who will be confident of another three points. We've asked Adam Roberts to preview this one and give us his best two bets for the occasion.
Leicester vs Manchester United Tips
Erik ten Hag has taken a couple of big steps to winning over the Old Trafford faithful, firstly turning over the old enemy in Liverpool, before following it up with a gritty victory over Southampton at the weekend. The Dutchman has certainly been backed in the transfer market, with United spending over £200m on new players, following the £85m signing of Antony this week.
One man who has had zero backing in the transfer window is Brendan Rodgers, who has seen one of his best players in Wesley Fofana, finally leave for Chelsea and it appears that Youri Tielemans will follow him this week. Rodgers is the joint favourite in the Next PL Manager to Leave market and is under serious pressure to turn around City's fortunes, starting with three points at home.
Rodgers is without Ricardo Pereira and Ryan Bertrand but should have James Maddison back and available to start here.
Ten Hag is still missing Antony Martial, Facundo Pellistri and Victor Lindelof, while new signing Antony won't be available for selection here, due to visa issues.
Leicester are in a bad place on and off the pitch at the moment and I'm taking Man Utd in the win market to add to Brendan Rodgers' misery. City lost 2-1 last time out against 10 man Chelsea and have lost their last three straight in the league. They also needed penalties to beat League Two Stockport County in the League Cup, so are in a really poor run of form. United are far from fluent at the moment but it seems like they have turned a corner under Ten Hag. The fanbase is up following two good results and a superb transfer window, bringing in Christian Eriksen, Tyrell Malacia, Lisandro Martinez, Casemiro and now Antony.
I think the Red Devils will have too much for a Foxes side that look unable to keep a clean sheet and the top price of 23/20 on offer at BetFred looks too tempting to turn down.
My second selection is a bet-builder based around Leicester's James Maddison and United midfielder Casemiro.
Maddison is in a superb run of form, which should see him on the fringes of the England World Cup squad. Maddison already has two goals from three appearances, letting off 10 shots with 3 SoT. This is merely an extension of last season where Maddison scored 12 goals and averaged 2.1 spg and 1 SoTpg. Maddison has now scored six goals in his last seven EPL appearances and has cleared 1+ Sot in his last nine fixtures.
Casemiro is always short priced for a booking and justifiably so. The 30-year-old Brazilian was 6th in La Liga for tackles (51) last year and 7th for bookings (11). In his last three season Casemiro has accumulated 31 cautions in 101 games for Real Madrid and with ETH insisting on a physical high-pressing style, I can see him being in plenty of trouble this campaign.
The two combined pay 3.32/1 at bet365 using their bet-builder feature.
