International Gameweek Correct Score Tips
Italy vs Ukraine
- Tuesday 12th September, Viaplay Sports Online
Luciano Spalletti will have been disappointed not to take three points in his first game in charge of the Italian national side last weekend, with the Azzurri being held to a 1-1 draw by North Macedonia. Italy have only played three matches so far in Euro qualification collecting four points (W1 D1 L1), which leaves them third in the Group C standings, three points behind Ukraine and nine behind leaders England.
A win here for Ukraine would give them some breathing space between themselves and Italy and they will be hopeful of picking up at least a point after a strong display against England on Saturday. Oleksander Zinchenko opened the scoring before his former Manchester City teammate Kyle Walker leveled the scores before half-time.
A similar scoreline could well be on the cards for Sergiy Rebrov’s men on Tuesday should they put in a similar performance. Italy are yet to find their feet in Group C and after their third-placed finish in the Nations League which ensures a play-off place in Euro qualification, there could be some questions over their motivation to topple both England and Ukraine in this group.
Anthony Eadson's Prediction: Italy 1-1 Ukraine
Spain vs Cyprus
- Tuesday 12th September, Viaplay Sports Online
Spain have their work cut out in Group A as they look to reel in high-flying Scotland, but the former World Cup and European champions should have a comfortable victory over Cyprus on Tuesday night. The Cypriots have lost all four of their group matches and have conceded 11 goals, so expect a dominant Spanish win with the scoreline being 5-0.
Steve Chambers' Prediction: Spain 5-0 Cyprus
Belgium vs Estonia
- Tuesday 12th September, Viaplay Sports Online
Since their latest unflattering performance at a major tournament cost Roberto Martinez his job, promise has returned to the Belgium camp. Although they've faced largely unspectacular opposition, Domenico Tedesco is engineering the Belgians to become a forward-thinking side. They're unbeaten since he's taken charge, winning four of their five fixtures, sitting top of Group F and having only conceded one goal in their qualifying matches. This will be a very routine game against a nation who have netted just twice, sit joint-bottom of the table and have lost their previous two outings to an aggregate score of 8-0 - including Belgium's 3-0 victory in June.
Luke Hamilton's Prediction: Belgium 3-0 Estonia
Sweden vs Austria
- Tuesday 12th September, Viaplay Sports Online
Austria, under former Man Utd manager Ralf Rangnick, have picked up 10 points from four Group F matches so far, which puts them level with Belgium at the top of the table. They make the trip to Sweden unbeaten in seven matches, although they will be disappointed at drawing 1-1 with Moldova last week. Sweden thumped Estonia 5-0 but still find themselves four points adrift of the leading duo. I'm anticipating a close and competitive duel here with both sides determined to avoid what could be a costly defeat.
Jack Kitson's prediction: Sweden 1-1 Austria
Norway vs Georgia
- Tuesday 12th September, Viaplay Sports Online
Norway host Georgia in a game where they are comfortable favourites. Most betting sites have them at around the 1/4 mark to win this game and with players like Erling Haaland, Alexander Sorloth and Martin Odegaard you can see why. Norway won their last game against Jordan 6-0 and with their confidence booming coming into this one, they should comfortably dispatch of Georgia here. The away side are coming off a 7-1 loss against Spain and if Spain can put seven past them away from home I fancy Norway to score a few here.
Steven McQuillan's Prediction: 4-0 Norway
