Harry Kane Next Club Odds: Bayern Munich and PSG linked with England captain
Harry Kane is yet again the subject of a number of transfer rumours for this upcoming window and with his career entering it’s latter stages, it may be time for him to move on from Tottenham Hotspur.
Kane finished with an astonishing 30 Premier League goals this season which was just six shy of Erling Haaland who is being touted for this years Ballon d’Or award.
It’s no secret as to how good the England captain is but many think his talent is being wasted at Spurs. With the transfer well and truly underway we’ve taken a look at what the betting sites are suggesting for his next move.
Bayern Munich
Bayern Munich are now as short as 4/11 sign Harry Kane this summer with Paddy Power pricing him at 4/6 for a move to the German champions.
Mail Sport reported that Bayern have made a £60m bid for Harry Kane which sounds incredibly cheap but as he would not be going to a Premier League rival, you'd imagine Daniel Levy letting him go at a much cheaper price. This bid of course got rejected and apparently so has a £70m offer as well. As of the 25th of July, Bayern have proposed to sit down with Levy and Kane together to negotiate a deal for the striker instead of them just throwing out bids and constantly being rejected.
Sky Sports are reporting that Bayern Munich's honorary President Uli Hoeness is confident in signing Harry Kane this summer after the two clubs met two discuss Kane's switch to the Bundesliga. No meaningful progress was said to be made between the two clubs so they'll be hoping for more progress in their upcoming meeting.
Tuchel is apparently pushing for Harry Kane this window and has said that Bayern will go all out for star players which hints at a potential improved bid for Harry Kane. If Bayern can meet Spurs' asking price for the striker then you'd think this deal could very well go through as Bayern are extremely interested in the forward.
PSG
PSG have seen their odds slashed from 33/1 to 5/2 with some betting sites to sign the Spurs captain.
PSG have of course had the departure of Messi to deal with and rumour has it that they're planning on adding Harry Kane to their attack to support Neymar and Mbappe. PSG never seem to cheap out on their attack and with Kylian Mbappe's future now a massive doubt at PSG, Harry Kane is being eyed up as the potential replacement.
Whilst it'll be hard to replace a French striker at one of the biggest teams in France, Harry Kane will offer an abundance of goals in Mbappe's place and there's no doubt he will work well with Neymar up top.
At this point, Kane seems to have made it clear that he doesn't mind a move away from the Premier League, despite the Premier League all-time top scorer record very much for the taking. That opens up opportunities to some of the best clubs in Europe such as Bayern and PSG.
Since PSG have found out about his desire to win trophies they seem to be interested and various French papers are reporting that PSG have entered the race to sign Harry Kane.
It's no secret that Daniel Levy is asking for a shed load of money for Kane and luckily for him, PSG could be getting a shed-load from this potential Mbappe deal to Saudi.
It seems as though Kane wants Bayern if he leaves Tottenham but I'm sure playing he'll be happy with joining PSG as they basically guarantee you one or two trophies a year due to the standard of Ligue 1.
Man Utd
Manchester United were as short as 1/2 with some betting sites to sign Harry Kane this summer but have since drifted out to 10/1. The club are always linked with the striker and Erik Ten Hag is reportedly very interested in the striker.
They are desperate for a striker with the club having to resort to Wout Weghorst on loan for that role. It won’t be cheap for United but Erik ten Hag has reportedly expressed his desire to sign Spurs’ leading scorer and with the club being ultimately more competitive in the Premier League and now the Champions League than Spurs, it could be a great move for the Englishman.
If Harry Kane wants to stay in the Premier League this looks like his best bet, however, the general feeling around the football world is that Kane is more than happy to leave the Premier League now.
Real Madrid
Harry Kane has been suggested as Benzema’s replacement at Real Madrid and they are the ones that come next in the market. Benzema has already confirmed his move to Saudi Arabia and they're in desperate need for a new striker.
If there was anyone to match Karim Benzema for Real Madrid you'd definitely opt for Harry Kane with his proven goalscoring record. However, it'd be a big ask for Kane to move to join Real Madrid when they aren't at their best and with Bayern already expressing their desire to sign the forward.
Real Madrid are now 22/1 to sign the forward, they were previously available at 1/2 when Benzema first left but since then there has been no communication from Real Madrid. If Madrid do up their interest in the Spurs captain, I'm sure he'd be open to discussion.
Stay at Spurs
Finally, you can always back him to not sign with a new club at 5/2 with Paddy Power. Tottenham have been incredibly stubborn in the past few years when it comes to listening to offers for their captain and this year they’re reportedly sticking with a £140m asking price for him.
It’d be crazy to pay that much for someone close to the end of their contract and someone that is turning 30 soon. Tottenham very well could price themselves out of a move yet again and staying at Spurs is definitely not off the cards.
Postecoglou has come out and said...
“I had a good chat with Harry Kane. Bayern statements? He’s not going to get fazed by anything — and it has zero impact on me”.
“He’s here and while he’s here, Harry is totally committed to what we’re doing”.
So it sounds like he's in Spurs' plans for next season but that might not matter if Kane wants to play elsewhere.
