Gibraltar vs Netherlands Prediction and Betting Tips: Best bets for final Group B clash

Gibraltar and the Netherlands meet at the Estadio Algarve on Tuesday night in each country's final Group B clash.

The Netherlands have booked their place at Euro 2024 and will finish second behind France in Group B, whatever the outcome of the final wave of matches.

Ronald Koeman's troops have won seven of their nine matches, losing twice to runaway group winners France.

In contrast, Gibraltar are cemented to the foot of the table with seven defeats from seven games. They are yet to score, have conceded 35 goals, and got crushed 14-0 by France on Saturday.

How on earth do you pick yourselves up from a result like that? Well, that's the task of manager Julio César Ribas who is enduring a nine game losing streak, stretching back to last November.

Wout Weghorst has really found his goalscoring touch in recent weeks, scoring four goals in his last five games for club and country.

Weghorst, who has scored three goals in his last five games for Oranje, is as short as 1/2 to find the back of the net.

However, I like the increased offering of the striker to score a header at 100/30 with Sky Bet, given the player's aerial ability. 

Two of Weghorst's last seven goals for Hoffenheim and the Netherlands have been headers, and the 6ft 6in will now be licking his lips at the thought of the amount of space, time, and chances he's likely to get in the penalty box against a wounded Gibraltar that shipped 14 goals last time out.

Another 10+ goal defeat is probably unlikely, but not out of the question.

We do, however, see this being a one way steam train on the Gibraltar goal with the Netherlands available at 13/8 on the -5 Goal Handicap.

We'll be combining this with a goal for Virgil van Dijk at 11/8 to form a 7/2 double. The defender, who scored in the recent win over Greece, will fancy his chances of enhancing his tally of seven goals for his country.
